5 suits required for hire, was told that the groom would get his free of charge, I decided to buy mine outright as it was a good price, the groom also said he would buy his, but asked the sales person if he would still get one free suit hire and was told yes he would get one free suit hire, so he went ahead and hired and bought the suits. Was charged the full amount “NO FREE SUIT HIRE”

I paid for a three piece blue classic herringbone plaid suit, plus an extra waistcoat in brown. The suit came in reasonable time and when it arrived I was pleased with the quality. However, it seems that there is little attention paid to the actual order as after a few minutes of rummaging in the box it became evident the blue plaid waistcoat was missing (perhaps they assumed the extra brown was replacing it). As well as that I'd asked for flat fronted trousers and got pleated and the waistcoat has a standard size sewn into the back of it leading me to suspect it may not be the custom fit that I had paid extra for. I understand mistakes can happen so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and emailed them to find out where my missing waistcoat had gotten to. One week no answer, so I called the office. They told me they were sorry and I'd have an email confirming my waistcoat was being delivered by tomorrow. Nothing came. Then I emailed demanding a refund as there was no time for it to arrive before my wedding. I got an immediate response this time and was told if the waistcoat hadn't left the tailors I'd get a refund. 5 hours later I got a refund of £20... I don't know how this is compensation for an item I paid £114 as an extra or £50 as part of a three piece. Luckily the suit is nice. Can't deny that. I will just say that if you are planning to buy from these guys do it in good time in case anything goes wrong and don't bother with all the added extras of custom fit as I'm not sure they are really measuring anything.

The suit was significantly delayed for reasons never explained. Attempts to get information were frustrating, with almost every message having to be chased up for a response. When the suit finally arrived it appeared to be good but unfortunately the lining of the trousers has been cut so that there is a fairly heavy hem running exactly across the knee instead of falling below the knee as it should. I raised this as it makes the trousers uncomfortable but was told this is standard and nothing can be done. Very disappointing that an otherwise good suit has been spoiled by the lack of a small amount of lining material. I shall not use these people again.

I cannot recommend that anyone order a bespoke suit from this establishment. I ordered my bespoke suit 3 months prior to my wedding. It turned out that was only just enough time because the suit arrived 2 months later than originally promised (just 2 days before I was to leave for the wedding)! The delivery date was delayed on numerous occasions and even though the shop manager agreed multiple times to update me as to when they would receive the suit, he never phoned me with any updates. I had to initiate every communication (sometimes by going by the shop). When the suit finally arrived, it was too tight in many of the measurements (odd because, if anything, I'd lost a little weight for the wedding) and to top it all off the shop was reticent to re-fit any of it. They did re-fit the trousers so I could actually sit down in them, but I ended up having to take the suit coat and the waistcoat to a seamstress to get them let out enough for me to wear! I am so thankful to the seamstress down the street who was able to do a same-day alteration. Also, my fiancé and I had asked for a couple specific details to be added to the suit and none of them were in the finished product. Overall a very poor experience and it makes me wonder why they even offer the option to order a bespoke suit. The ready made suits in the shop area all look quite nice, but I cannot advise anyone ever ordering a bespoke suit from this merchant.

I ordered 46 regular in the jacket and a 46 long in the waistcoat, what I have received is a 44 regular to short jacket and 44 regular to short waistcoat. Also, I had to get the suit dry cleaned as it arrived looking like an elephant's knee cap. Wearable but disappointing.

The quality of the goods supplied by Jennis & Warmann is very good, but their attitude to customer relations is hopeless. The only acknowledgement of your order will come from the firm handling the online transaction; emails to J&W will go unanswered; you will have no idea whether or not your order has gone through or been accepted until a message from DHL arrives (after 30-35 working days) telling you that it is on its way from Heathrow. Of course, you might try phoning J & W, but for most of the period I was awaiting my order, their phones were being 'upgraded' and therefore not working.

Hello David, We always reply to your emails but unfortunately your email always rejects anything we send. Virgin, NTL, Tiscali, Blueyonder servers always rejects any emails that does not come from mainstream servers like yahoo and gmail. We do not have any control over this. You will need to contact your email provider to configure this for you. If you give us a different email address, we will forward all the rejected mails to you so you know we are telling you the truth. We have reshipped your shoe to you and should be with you by tomorrow.

I have been disappointed as the order arrived a week late. My son usually wears the size ordered in a regular fit; but was upset when the trousers that were sent were too small. As a seamstress myself I could see that they had been made to an unsuitable cut for a man who would wear a 42" chest jacket. I would also point out that they were not just a tight fit but would not sustain any movement. I believe that this should be pointed out at the point of your customers browsing . I was also disappointed that an odd bowtie out of the 3 that we ordered was wrong and that I have been asked to return them to get my money back. These were to be for my son's ushers so they needed to be the same. Whilst I am and my son are communicating with your customer service team to correct these issues I strongly feel that I would not use your site again.

Hello Liz, We are sorry the trousers do not fit. Our suits are cut in a modern fit so as we have already explained to your son over the phone, he needed a loose fit as he has big thighs. Different companies make their items differently that is why we have provided a guide to help you understand our sizes. Nevertheless, we are more than happy to exchange it.

I wasn't expecting amazing quality however the actual quality was poor. The closer on the trousers fell off straight away. The checks/stripes on the trousers don't line up and in some instances they are an inch out, which looks odd. Overall the finishing, attention to detail and quality is poor.

This website came high up on the listing when I googled tweed suit for my wedding. The website looked good and so did the suits. I done a couple of checks on the company and discovered they only started trading in 2015 and although there were some good reviews there were a couple of not so good reviews. I decided to take a risk buying the suit as it was very low cost and it looked great on the website. I also bought the suit on the basis that the website says that the suits take 25-30 days for delivery but if you contact them they can try and complete the order sooner. I emailed asking for it to be sooner and even called them to request it to be sooner. 30 days passed and I emailed asking for an update, which was ignored so I called and was given an apology that it has taken longer than expected as they are busy and I should receive it in a couple of days. I received it 34 days from placing the order. The suit came in a large box all scrunched up. To be fair the sizes seemed to be correct which I asked for and the colour of the suit was brilliant as I hoped. Due to the low cost I didn't expect too much in terms of quality (which I was happy with) or that it literally came in a massive box but the lateness, poor customer service and general lack of care by the company has forced me to purchase a dozen suits from another supplier for my wedding party. I was using this as an example before buying the others. It's a shame that the negatives from this purchase has left me not spending more money with this supplier. It is also a shame that a new company lacks simple customer care which should always come first. The bottom line with this review is don't expect too much.... But you get what you pay for.
