About JENZA:

Who is JENZA? Can I trust them? And why don’t you ever answer our calls? (Mum??). So, (mostly) legit questions to ask before you book. JENZA is the travel love child of USIT and BUNAC – two originals of the work and travel world founded by students in 1959 and 1962. Yep, we’re old AF. But with that, comes a ton of wise old owl expertise and trust. Basically, these chaps may be so new they chafe – but it’s not our first rodeo. Working as one global team, JENZA has the backing of 65+ years of work abroad experience, but has been built for today’s travellers. Shaped by our Youth Advisory Panel and given the stamp of approval by our roadtesters, it’s all in our logo: You Shaped Travel.

“The booking process was generally smooth but the responses from the UK team where I booked were quite slow. The staff in New Zealand were informative and friendly but I would have appreciated more diversity of nationalities in the group I was booked on to as everyone tended to stick together, and I wanted to meet new people.”

“The orientation days were efficient and short. It's a good way to start work and travel, because you get all the information you need and can connect with other people at the same time. Therefore, you find travel buddies or just ideas for your time in New Zealand immediately. It is nothing you can't do by yourself, but if you're a little afraid or unsure about doing work and travel it is reassuring.”

“The length of the orientation days was perfect, not too long, not too short. They gave us a lot of information about travelling, safety, accommodations and the culture. Going to Devonport was really nice and we had a lot of fun having dinner with all the other participants of the program. They gave us a lot of tips on how to look for jobs and helped us with our CV's. Shontelle and Louise were very, very nice and helpful and we enjoyed meeting them!”

“They were very informative and helpful when it came to overseas travel and living. They answered all questions and helped ease the transition into a new country. My only issue was I wasn't always getting emails with regards to appointments and what we were doing. Aside from that technical communication aspect, everything else was great.”

“Hostel in Auckland was lovely! Sessions were useful and helpful to have bookable sessions with the staff. Communication pre-departure was a little more scattered including having to reach out to get enough info. Checkout date for the hostel wasn't super clear.”

“Booking with JENZA was a good start to my working holiday visa experience. Communication from the main office was good leading up to leaving the UK. However, once I arrived there were some issues with receiving emails, so I would recommend double checking with the team if you haven't received anything. Once I arrived in NZ, Louise and Chantelle were really friendly and helpful. They provided lots of useful information about how to travel, accommodation and jobs. I feel happy that they will be there to contact and support me throughout the year with any issues that arise. Thank you, Lousie & Chantelle! On hindsight I think I would book the 4-day version, rather than the 8-day. As the extra 3 days are through a different company anyway.”

“I really enjoyed the time with JENZA, it was a really great way to start my work and travel adventure here. They gave us great tipps for jobsearch, buying a car and start. The only thing I might have misunderstood was about the SIM card. I thought I would get a sim card here but the team just gave us tipps where to buy it and what is important to know but if I would have known that earlier, I could have buy a cheaper sim at the aiport. But all in all I really enjoyed the time and feel more safe and confident now!”

“In the orientation days they helped me very much with how to find jobs and how to travel without a car. It was very fun with them and they helped me to quickly feel at home in New Zealand.”

“Louise is extremely nice, she immediately made us all feel more at home, we could ask her any question coming to mind and she tried to help us always! She also admitted whenever something wasn‘t within her area of expertise, which I am grateful for, so we knew what we had to research on our own.”
