Awful. 1st visit ok to install 2 rat control boxes. Then cancelled TWICE by no reply text 3pm of the two seperate days they should've come after me booking a day off work AVOID AVOID AVOID

Avoid this company because Hired them for house moths - was told that there was a 6 month guarantee Paid £2000 for heat treatment and was told near 100% success Not so after 4 weeks again moths so came in for pesticide treatment Two months later again moths. Contacted them again and told different things - via email if > 4 months will have to pay again - via phone if 3-4 months will have to pay again It has been less than 4 months since initial treatment but they are refusing to come again unless I pay again

I now realise I made a mistake choosing this company. Had never had to hire anyone for pest control before and just took it at face value. Well I paid £240 for wasp removal which didn't even work! I called for them to revisit which they refused as it hadn't been 2 weeks and then booked something in past the 2 week period which was cancelled at the last minute! Cut my losses and hired someone else. £80 job done. You live and learn.

Made promises they could not keep to get us to book. Took the total amount of £480 (to get rid of some mice) instead of just a deposit and then refused to refund the amount taken in error. Was difficult to get hold of anyone and office staff refuse to discuss the situation over the phone. Not a great service for the money paid and I certainly wouldn’t recommend this company.

Avoid this company at all costs. We paid £1,680 for a bed bug heat treatment, even though the infestation was only in one room. They promised a 100% guarantee after just one heat treatment — what a lie. After the first visit, nothing changed: bed bugs were still crawling on the bed the very same night, and even sensitive equipment left in the room was unaffected, proving the protocol was not properly followed. In April, they carried out a second heat treatment. For a short time the situation improved — the bugs were fewer, mostly nymphs and hatching eggs. At that stage the infestation could have been fully eliminated, but instead they stalled with endless excuses: sending traps, demanding photos, blaming “gaps in the wooden floor.” Months were wasted while the infestation persisted. We even hired workers to seal the floors, yet nothing changed. If this had been mentioned during the first inspection, the issue could have been resolved immediately. Finally, they hid behind their so-called “guarantee” and offered only a quick chemical spray. But chemical treatment has never been effective: in a three-bedroom house, the entire job took just 30 minutes, and not a single dead bug was found afterwards. It was nothing more than a box-ticking exercise, not a real solution. We trusted their reviews and their promises, but in reality it was a facade. Money wasted, stress caused, and the problem left exactly as it was. Conclusion: ineffective treatments, meaningless guarantee, constant excuses. This company does not solve problems — it only takes people’s money.

Bad experience!! We had a bed bug issue and having tried the chemical treatment without success, decided to do the heat treatment as providers essentially guarantee success. We selected JG Pest Control due to positive reviews on this site, even though they were materially more expensive than other quotes we received. Our experience was disappointing, summarized with the following: • Received an offer for rat/mice removal (from salesperson) in response to our initial request for bed bug heat treatment. • Subsequently received the corrected offer, which was £1000 for one bedroom, but to have the guarantee be effective, you needed to have all rooms treated. The living room couldn’t be heat treated as it was open plan with the kitchen, unfortunately, I mistakenly understood the guarantee still applied as I had agreed to have the additional bedroom treated. • The agreement was sent digitally but I was unable to read it when opened. I sent an email to the salesperson, after which I received a signed agreement (which I had not signed). I was becoming concerned at this point, but due to the positive reviews and situation we had with the bed bugs, decided to proceed. • The appointment was made for 8am-9am, the technician arrived around 11am. • The technician was courteous and professional, and certainly appeared knowledgeable, which provided reassurance. • The technician sent a visit completion report which showed sign-off by me, even through I wasn’t in the apartment. When I again raised the fact that documents were being falsely signed-off, I received an admission this shouldn’t’ have happened. • The final payment was automatically taken, despite not signing either the agreement or completion report (albeit the agreement does state this will happen). • On returning to the apartment, the main bedroom had an elevated temperature, but the second bedroom had normal room temperature (same as the living room). It suggested strongly that the second bedroom didn’t receive the heat treatment, albeit when raised, I was informed it had received the heat treatment (albeit no explanation why one room was far more elevated in temperature than the other). Several months later after requesting proof, they finally admitted the second room had not been treated despite repeatedly claiming it had been. Minimal compensation was offered. • The following day, bed bugs remained. After sharing pictures with JG Pest Control, I was informed the guarantee wasn’t valid and I would need to wait 4 weeks before they would return to do a chemical spray. • We continued having bed bugs over the following four weeks, albeit in smaller quantities (positive aspect being majority were killed, even if not all of them). • After 4 weeks, they agreed to return and respray the apartment. Some bed bugs remained even after this, which point they came again and sprayed a second time. This did appear to finally kill the bed bugs. My experience was disappointing. I should state that I contacted them on multiple occasions and received (what I considered) minimal customer support or ownership for the issues raised. I certainly wouldn’t use them again or recommend them.

£125 to get a ‘specialist’ turn up, spend 3 minutes to say no wasps nest and nothing he could do. You would expect an ‘expert’ to advise and actually closely inspect the area. My fiancé got closer to the wasps than he did. May not have been a nest but there was a large mass of wasps present. We’d have been grateful for any service or throw some wasp powder or give recommendations but no! My fiancé who isn’t a wasp expert went to the hardware store and bought wasp powder having read reviews online and scattered it over the mass of wasps. Sorted! You’d think an expert, would have supplies or knowledge to do something like this especially when forking out a large amount of money for an ‘expert’. We complained after he left having been at our house for 3 minutes. I think he must’ve spent more time typing a standard report than he spent actually looking to resolve our wasp issue. Maybe we were unlucky with our ‘expert’ but the company came across as a bunch of charlatans by saying they understood our feedback but wouldn’t refund the money. Shocking customer service and didn’t deliver at all. Would not recommend them to anyone I know and hence the reason I am writing an honest review.

We are extremely disappointed with the service we have received from JG Pest Control. Despite paying for a 6-month guarantee, the company has failed to honour its obligations fully, and we have been left with unresolved pest issues and ignored follow-up requests. After an initial visit and bait placement by one of their technicians, a written report from a recent technician's visit clearly stated that a follow-up appointment was required within three weeks. However, despite multiple attempts to contact the company via email to schedule this follow-up, we have received no response, and no technician has been sent out, even though two months remain on my guarantee. JG Pest Control has claimed that “constant re-baiting” is not part of the service. This stance is misleading and inconsistent with both their guarantee and standard industry practices. Furthermore, it contradicts health and safety guidance regarding the use of rodenticides and pest control substances in domestic environments. According to The Control of Pesticides Regulations 1986 and guidance from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), once a bait has been laid: It must be regularly monitored by professionals. The bait must either be replenished (re-baited) or removed depending on the situation. Leaving bait unattended can pose a serious hazard, especially in homes with children or pets. JG Pest Control’s failure to revisit or even communicate clearly is not only a breach of their 6-month guarantee, but also raises serious safety and compliance concerns. I urge potential customers to be cautious before booking with this company. Guarantees should be honoured in full, and customer service and safety should never be ignored once a payment has been made.

They refused to honour the commitment they made on their web site to repair and close up the access point used by squirrels. As I had to pay up front, I was stuck with having to pay for a service I didn't get. This is a shame, as they dealt with the pests themselves very well.

This whole experience has been a complete waste of time and money. I expected professional, thorough help — not months of excuses, poor service, and ongoing suffering. I’m beyond frustrated with this pest control service. I’ve been dealing with a bedbug infestation since February, and despite three visits, the issue is still not resolved. After the first two visits, I was still getting bitten and kept finding signs of live activity. I sent them clear photos showing how badly I’ve been bitten, and yet they kept asking for more “evidence” instead of taking proper action. By the third visit, all they did was drop a few monitors on the floor — completely ignoring the fact that I had fresh bites just two days before, and there were still live bedbugs in the room. It’s ridiculous. If they had done their job properly in the first visit, the treatment and chemicals should have been effective. Instead, I’ve had to deal with ongoing infestations, constant stress, and no real solutions. Since February, I’ve packed and unpacked my belongings over and over, followed every single instruction, cleaned, washed, and done everything I was told to — and still, the nightmare continues. It’s honestly insulting to keep being asked for more “proof” when the evidence is clear and the situation is affecting people both mentally and physically. This level of service is unacceptable. I expected professional, thorough help — not months of excuses and dismissive responses.

I would avoid these at all costs. They are currently merging with another company and the organisation is atrocious. We had two appointments booked with them which they didn't even show up to, nor did they call in advance that they wouldn't be coming. Not only did they waste two days of our lives sat at home waiting for nobody to come, but they failed multiple times to call back when promised or to take my complaint seriously. They think this is an acceptable level of service and have refused to give me any solution aside from a 'sorry'. Sorry doesn't give me wasted days back. The reviews suggest they're a good company to go with but that was clearly pre-merger. Avoid them all costs and take your money elsewhere, as it will be wasted.

“Terrible experience. I was explicitly told that access under my floor was a last resort, yet when the technician arrived (late), the first thing he asked for was access under the floor. When I said that wasn’t possible—exactly as I had stated before booking—he left without doing any work. Now the company is refusing to refund my full payment, despite completely misrepresenting the service. Avoid at all costs.”

I worked for theese and left because they all take drugs weed to coccaine round all theese people and animals let's just say they don't do thing by the book and probably not sober on drugs cut more corners than a circle then don't pay there staff con company 1000 percent stay well clear use at your own dismay

I have some mice in my house so I called JG pest control in March 2024. I saw that they offered a guarantee and that is why I decided to use them. They came for an initial inspection, put some poison down and I was supposed to call them two weeks later for the next visit. I called them and they came for the next visit and they did something similar. The next time I was supposed to call them two weeks later, it slipped my mind, I didn’t call and when I did they told me it was too late…… The people that came looked like motley crew. They tracked mud all over my house. Apparently they plug holes. There was not one hole plugged in my property. One guy in my kitchen cabinet said there was a large hole there but then said they could not plug it as it was inaccessible. I actually paid them for a second go around and they still did not get rid of my mice. I reminded them that they guaranteed the mice would be eradicated and they told me it was, “at the managers discretion”. It’s now September 2024 and I still have mice after wasting my time with this company. I don’t recommend them AT ALL, they seem like scammers. They also leave it to the customer to call them back after 2 weeks and I guarantee people forget all the time. I called a different company and so far I’m much happier with them. Environ Pest Control. They said they will book me in for the follow up on the day they visit. I will be back to write a review for them soon.
