“Looking for a Soylent alternative, I tried the chocolate and banana flavors. The texture was unpleasant, more gritty than Soylent and similar to Huel. Adding a bit more water than recommended improved that slightly. The shake tends to separate, and when I got to the bottom there was always a big build up of sediment, requiring me to add more water and re-shake. My only highlight was the banana flavor, which was quite good and not at all fake-tasting. I didn't like the chocolate.”

“I have struggled with anorexia for a long time, and when I’ve tried to supplement my intake with meal replacement powders and premixed drinks in the past, I’ve never been able to stomach them. I was pleasantly surprised by the chocolate, vanilla, and banana powders I tried. Though they all were mealy to some degree, they were all less mealy and film-forming in the mouth than previous meal replacement powders I’ve tried. The tastes themselves were always pleasant. I do think vanilla tastes more like birthday cake ice cream though!”

“I love the convenience and nutrition values of JJ products! Some of the products are really great (bar vanilla, salted caramels, vig, lemon pie) and active shakes, but some products are nothing like the taste promised and taste is horrible (apple bar is very chemical, shake pistachio tastes just like almonds, no pistachio and berries one is also far from berries and much different consistency). I'd like if it would be possible to get sample more often vs having to order the whole batch of failed flavor.”

“My favourite is the chocolate protein shakes. Not fond of the bars or the vanilla flavour shake, but the chocolate is just perfect. Never hungry after a shake. Great way to keep on top of your weight.”

“The Plenny Bars are absolutely delicicious!! I cannot decide on my favourite flavour, so i always get the mix :) During work i never have the time to sit down and eat - these really have helped me so much. I also love that its so easy and flexible to order - i got a subscription and can change it however and whenever i like. Super recommend.”

“I treat these as my "dessert" snack after a calorie controlled meal. I usually have one after breakfast and dinner time to cram in 800 calories. The fact these bars are 400 calories each is a big plus point for me given they are sizeable and keep you full. The taste on them is great too”

“Leider schmeckt nur der Schoko Riegel. Alle anderen schmecken extrem künstlich und liefern einen sehr unangenehmen Nachgeschmack. Der Schoko Riegel ist allerdings ganz gut und hält mich auch ca. 3-4 Stunden satt.”

“I was a bit sceptical to order, because artificial flavours are generally quite bland and/or gross. But I must say, the tiki massala hot pot has a good seasoning to it and is quite enjoyable. It's an easy meal to prep, ideal for short lunch breaks, as a to-go-meal or if you want a hot meal at work without too much of a hassle (f.e. after a late sports session). By only using 1/2 of a portion and adding beef strips or chicken cubes, it almost looks as if I made a meal from scratch and it's more than enough for an evening meal. The shakes I have tried (coffee and speculaas) taste ok, too. I feel that one scoop is enough for me (woman, 1.62m) to be full until the next mealtime. Very practical as a quick breakfast on a ski holiday, to get your fuel in before hitting the slopes for the day.”

“Super disappointed in the shake. They have a genius marketing, I was completely sold after a few ads. Don't know whaI don'txpected tho, the flavours are very mild, a lot worse than yfood ones. Wild berries and Strawberries had barely any taste, Banana was meh, chocolate was the only one decent. The first three had a very strong psyllium aftertaste, which I hated as a kid. Also 2 of the 4 bags just won't close :/ The bar I got for free was really nice though, maybe I should have bought those instead.”

“I think that they are kinda fire. Big fan of the texture which is something I struggle with in general with other bars. I kinda complained to a friend that the flavours weren't punchy enough and he explained it's so you don't get sick of them which fair enough, clearly it works. How do I use the bars? I eat them obviously but mostly for when I have long trips, or while I am studying ( like rn) because it's quick and convenient ( well since I started ordering my own and not stealing from my friend's stash.) So basically yeah, good yum. sidenote: I kinda wish we had the option of choosing from different sets of flavour mixes: Box A: Box B: Box C: that way you can rotate flavours without having to commit a whole box of a single flavour.”
