As a loyal customer, I was shocked to learn—through external sources, no less—that their system had been compromised due to a hacking incident. Adding insult to injury, I was recently invited to confirm my consent to share my personal data with their platform. This request, coming on the heels of such a significant security failure, is not only tone-deaf but feels deeply intrusive. I am appalled by the lack of transparency and proactive communication, which has left me feeling violated and disrespected as a customer.
This experience has been profoundly distressing, and I feel sickened by the thought that my most sensitive data may have been mishandled or exposed. I am placing my hope in the legal team handling this matter to hold 23andMe accountable for this egregious lapse in responsibility.
