We purchased coated metal chairs and a matching table some years ago. The warranty period was 5 years. It rusted within that period and it was replaced. Kettler informed us that the coating process had to be changed to an environmentally friendly one and they had some issues with the process which had now been resolved. The second one did the same though, again it was replaced and again we were reassured that it would last. The third time it rusted but they wouldn't replace as it was outside the warranty period. I have some sympathy with Kettler that they can't go on replacing however as my mother-in-law's Kettler chairs and tables are showing no signs of rust after 15 years I can't recommend these products. The warranty period on her set was 10 years, no five, so the only conclusion I can make is that they are not fit for purpose in the UK climate.

Good luck - 3 parts of frame arrived damaged - box was unmarked - 3 days into warranty claim and no information on replacement

I have a table tennis table which is getting on a bit but not yet 10 years old. Last year it warped and split badly on one side. It's an outdoor table and as far as I understood it had a 10 year guarantee. I have endless conversations about getting a part to fix this, but was told I had to produce the original guarantee. I was unable to do this (table had been passed on to me by a friend who was moving out of the country)... So so many conversations about it and ultimately am now told that the part doesn't exist.... Disappointed with: I thought Kettler was a good brand, so surprised the this happened in the first place. I thought Kettler had a 10 year guarantee so the fact that it's worth nothing is a shame. The whole experience has changed my opinion of Kettler from a decent solid brand, to one I would never ever buy from again. I am now in a position to be replacing the table and will NOT be getting a Kettler. Cornilleau I have a 10 year guarantee, so I'm heading in that direction currently....

We purchased this 8 seater set 2 years ago and sadly it's not as durable as we'd hoped for a premium product. The table has discoloured with various 'stains' where inevitably food and drinks get spilled (despite being cleaned up at the time). We started with a beautiful modern sleek garden furniture set and now have a mottled and water marked table.

The parasol bung I ordered has not been delivered, due, I have been told by Claire in your office, days after I ordered, to you being out of stock. One has been ordered, I have been told. I am therefore not qualified to make any comment about the bung.

The first associate left on maternity and didn't pass my claim on to a colleague. The settlement of the claim took 6-8 weeks longer than initially indicated. The original claim was for replacement slats that burnt when wine glasses were placed on the table on a sunny day, the table not being fit for purpose. I requested a replacement glass topped table (which retailed cheaper than the slatted table), which was eventually granted. Your system didn't recognise this change and I received 3 further calls, after delivery of the glass topped table, from your associates who wanted to arrange delivery of replacement slats???

The replacement which arrived was also damaged. Still waiting for 2nd replacement. This is now approaching 3 months from when we originally raised the issue of rusting with John Lewis

We purchased a companion set complete with matching cushions and parasol. The table had a hole to accommadate the parasol. The item went rusty and we claimed on the 5 year Kettler guarentee which Kettler accepted as faulty. On speaking to the customer service advisor they agreed to replace the item but the replacement would not accommadate the parasol so we asked if they would provide a parasol base to overcome this problem as a gesture of goodwill and to make the replacement like for like. They refused so we were left with a parasol which we could not use with the replacement set. Kettler referred us back to Notcutts where we had purchased it from who agreed with us the need for a base and discussed the matter with Kettler without success. The outcome was Notcutts provided us with a base as a token of goodwill. For customer service Notcutts 10 Kettler NIL. We will not be purchasing Kettler products in future.

The Kettler garden furniture does not last very long. The umbrellas we had fell apart within a year and the chairs we purchased have all rusted within 5years or less. The table is holding up a little better.

I ordered two Kettler products, believing them to be a quality company. Paros 8-Seater Dining Set - Original Delivery, then 3 deliveries of replacement chairs. Faulty or missing screw assemblies. Had to stay at home all day awaiting deliveries each time as no time slot given and the considerable time taken to assemble replacements each time, then connect Kettler to inform them of poor manufacturing and quality control Paros 4-Seater Lounge Set - Set arrived with 5 legs the same and 1 leg totally different, so could not complete the assembly of the lounge set. Again had to repack sofa for collection and replacement to be received, waiting in all day for delivery, then assemble again. Noticed paint chip on replacement, touch up paint sent, totally different colour. Again poor manufacturing and quality control. I deal with Zak in Customer Services, but Kettler Customer Service strategy seems to be Collect/Replace the faulty part(s) until you get one that you can assemble, but not getting to the root cause of the problem. I seem to be doing the quality control for them, as part of my continual assembly of their products! This does not create happy customers or increases customer satisfaction. I always though Kettler was a quality company, my belief has considerable changed. I shall not be promoting Kettler products.
