“All items of good quality and work well. It’s a pity that the location and type of door hinges are critical to the operation of the baskets and should be better explained when purchasing. A few dimensioned drawings at ordering stage would be appreciated by purchasers. Through trial and error I eventually got a working result”

“The fitting of the new doors and update of the cabinets was excellent. The workmanship faultless But we were disappointed with the 'magic corner' feature that was installed. Compared to the one we discussed in the showroom it was not the one we expected. When we asked why we had the LeMans system and not got the full double pull out tray system we were expecting it was explained that the pull out system would not fit While we accepted this alternative system we think the communication about the change could have been better. To be fair, we were given the choice after pointing this out(which seems inconsistent with the earlier explanation) but we were expected to pay an extra £60 towards the fitting. The fitter also pointed out that the proposed system did not pull fully out as we had thought so we decided to keep the system as it was”

“Ordered 2 items but only 1 arrived but this was quickly sorted and the 2nd duly arrived. No complaints. I ordered 2 magic corner cupboard mechanisms because my wife had complained about the difficulty of reaching kitchen utensils in our corner units. The mechanisms or units come with a 15 year guarantee and well made. Careful measuring is required but the instructions provide all the measurements. I'd hesitate to say easy to fit in situ because access was so restricted but it's within the range of diy and is cheaper than replacing the whole kitchen. My wife is pleased with the result!”

“The units are good quality but the smoothness of operation isn’t as good as the soft close feature of our kitchen units. The runners are good but “ stiff “ when pulling out and closing. Tried using lubrication (silicon) but not much change.”

“I received my order quickly, the prices were great. Everything I ordered was as I expected. I do wish that the wooden handles I purchased were protected from the other contents of the box. All of the hinges, wing plates and drawer glides were just tossed loose in a box with the wooden handles, leaving metal components to bang around in the box with the unprotected wooden handles. Nothing was damaged, but the potential was there. I will use kitchen fitting direct again. Also I wish that they sold the screws than secure the concealed hinges, they are difficult to find and purchasing everything at the same time and location is much more convenient.”

“The items arrived in reasonable conditions. Some of the boxes had been bashed around/opened but all the items were present. We had ordered soft-close sliding basket inserts of various sizes and they all fitted (tightly...) in the cabinets. Fitting was quite straightforward for an experienced DIYer More information about the dimensions of the soft-close mechanism should be provided on the website - while the baskets and runners *just* clear standard door hinges, there is a lug used by the soft-close mechanism which can foul the hinge. Sod's law says that you will always want to position the basket where the hinge is... This lug can also foul the door if it does not open clear of the cabinet. Overall a good experience - reasonably price & quality, accurately described & delivered.”

“I retrofitted some 800mm & 900mm wide internal drawers in my kitchen. The 900mm wide were 270mm deep (under-sink), whereas the 800mm wide were 450mm deep. The kits that I could find online were for DTC drawers only. I opted not to change the door hinges on my Kitchen units, so I had to install some 2x1 lats to the internal wall of each press and trim down the drawer back and floor by ~50mm to accommodate. Similarly, the base for the 900mm x 270mm press were 900mm x 450mm. This could easily have been my mistake, perhaps I needed to order a shorter drawer base. In any case, it was no big deal to trim them down to size. One final thing, as these shelves were used for Internal Drawers, the base had to protrude by 15mm to engage with the drawer front. To allow for this, I added to the rear of the drawer base to ensure the drawer front was encapsulated. Overall Kitchen Fittings Direct were very good. The delivery was fast, the quality of the product good. The only suggestion I would make, is to have an option for internal drawers and allow for old hinge types. Or specify that new hinges are required.”
