“There were omissions in the documents received, such as the original acquisition date
I am waiting for a response to my email - we are still within the 48-hour service level commitment, so unable to score”
“Difficult to navigate to what you need and very expensive to download copies of title deeds, i wanted a nice paper copy so paid more and what i got was crumpled, creased up pieces of paper in an envelope that I had paid more than £60 for.”
“The location plan and accompanying text arrived promptly via email and answered all the key questions. However, the individual cost for the two digitally scanned items, neither of which together would have covered an A4 page and the cost for prompt delivery is exorbitant. At half the cost I would have thought it expensive. It feels like theGovernment office is exploiting for profit basic information that is required for legal
processes and isn't really justifiable.”
“I ordered several titles and although one was correct, two items that I ordered were incorrect. The first incorrect item was the correct plan but the wrong title. This was very quickly rectified when I pointed out the error. I am trying to get the second incorrect item rectified and the Land Registry suggested sending them the location as a what3words message. I understand there is a huge backlog of work at the Land Registry and this may mean I am not getting the correct information as the information is yet to be updated.”
“needed a new copy of my deeds so went through the process, paid my money and the documents were in my inbox within 15 mins which is a great service. cannot fault this at all”
“Despite making it clear that I wanted the register if it showed evidence of my sale, they provided me with a backdated version that still had me as owner and refused to give me a refund. They didn’t read my email. It’s frustrating and depressing knowing that no one is there to listen to you.”
“Very quick to get documents but very expensive. Bought conveyancing pack thinking it would include all documents but then had to pay for 2 more, very costly.”
“I ordered documents as Deeds to my property, providing details of the address, but those supplied concerned the wider parcel of land on which the entire development was based. On receiving the incorrect documents, I ordered the Conveynacing Pack but this provided the same information. As a result, I have wasted a total of £94.85 and still don't have a copy of the Deeds.
The on-line ordering system is seriously flawed. There should be an opportunity to check that the dopcuments being offered are relevant to the request. For example, a thumbnail image of the property boundary could be provided as confirmation.
The system is not fit for purpose.”
