The worst razor cold ever used was so excited to be plastic free and looks lovely but now onto my 5th blade and still getting cuts and shave so gentle it’s taking actual slices of my skin and also leaves horrible razor rash. Iv tried shaving in every direction tried with oils soap foam water Iv exfoliated held at different angles plus it doesn’t give a great finish off what it does take off my legs still feel stubbly and I will defo be scarred all over my legs for life back to a normal razor for me.

I thought I’d give this razor ago, being plastic free etc, and I’m just mortified, the razor it’s self is beautiful but those blades are far too dangerous! With applying no pressure, exfoliation before and shaving cream - I am cut to pieces, not even little cuts, gashes. Absolutely awful. Would not recommend to anyone. (Photo attached being one of a few cuts)

Followed their advice to a T, cut myself everywhere using no pressure at all, they're not even nicks, they've actually took the skin off, defo a no go, I'd rather go back to Venus

Oh my god. My husbands face is cut to pieces. He’s been shaving for 30 years and never had this problem. I am horrified. He’s followed all the guidance and looks like this? I’m going to have to report this product as not fit for purpose and actually dangerous. If my husband has any infection or scarring after this we will consider taking further action. I’m horrified!

I chose this razor to be eco friendly, but it gave me shaver rash which I never really get with plastic ones, and I have painful little nicks on my legs along with hair that the razor didn’t get , I want to persevere but am very anxious now

Left my legs with so many cuts even after using shaving foam and exfoliating, I wouldn’t use it again.

Hi Amy, Thanks for the feedback. We'd love to help you get the results others are getting from the razor. There's definitely a different technique when using it. If you're experiencing a lot of tiny cuts there are two things that spring to mind: - ensure your skin is really warm before shaving. This helps soften the hair but also gets rid of any goosebumps and creates a nice flat surface. - apply absolutely no pressure when shaving. The weight of the razor alone is enough to get a really close shave. Downward pressure restricts the razors ability to glide smoothly across the skin. If you've any questions, I'd be more than happy to help. Feel free to get in touch on info@lane44.com.

Really disappointed, left with stubble even after using a new blade

Found this razor way too sharp and fiddly. Regrowth was faster than a normal razor. So disappointing as I seen all the hype about these razors online and was super excited to use them 😔

Hey Laila, I just checked the tracking and it's showing that it's still with Royal Mail. I'll chase them up this morning and email you with an update.

Unfortunately they weren’t for me. Still left my legs sore and sensitive. Shame cos there a good idea. Nothing to do with the razors just me terrible skin.

Thought this would be a great product, followed all recommendations but this has just ripped my skin the shreds. Deep cut into my skin so have had to stop using

Hey Jemma, Thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear about the cut. It def sounds like you've applied pressure when using. It's really important to apply absolutely no pressure when using. Just let the weight of the razor do the work and glide it over the skin. Happy to chat it through with you and try and help you get the better quality shave you should expect with this type of razor.

Looked up how to shave properly using this but still cut myself and after shaving a terrible looking shaving rash came all over my legs. I would not recommend anyone to buy this especially if your looking to wear something with your legs!

Hi Amanda, Thanks for your review. Technique is really important when it comes to using this type of razor. If you get the right technique, there is no reason that you shouldn't expect the same level of shave as so many others have experienced. With regards the shaving rash - it's important to let shaving rash heal before attempting to shave. When this happens, it just further irritates the skin and doesn't allow any time for healing. More than happy to chat through how to get the most from the razor.

I have never cut myself so badly as I did with this razor. It took so much of my leg off that I bled for 4 days straight, and my doctor had to send me to a&e. I followed the instructions, but it wasn’t a sideways slice, I cut my leg like a slice of bacon

Hey Katie, Thanks for your review and so sorry to hear of your cut. This definitely sounds like you were applying quite a bit of pressure. It's really important to apply absolutely no pressure at all when using this type of razor. We'd be more than happy to chat it through with you and try and help you get the close shave that so many others have experienced.

Hey Penelope, Thanks for sharing your experience and sorry to hear about the nicks. It's really important that the product is used with the correct technique. As with any sharp object, especially razors, if the correct technique is not used then it's likely to not perform as expected. That being said, I can completely appreciate how this product requires a slightly different technique and I would be more than happy to chat it through with you to help you experience the quality shave that so many others are getting. Please drop us an email at info@lane44.com and we would be more than happy to help. Best wishes, Lane 44

Honestly the worst razor I've ever tried. I followed the instructions and it cut my legs to shreds! Minimum 12 little cuts that would NOT stop bleeding. Lots of irritation. I get a much better shave with normal plastic razors. Will be returning asap. Total waste of money.

Hey Lisa, Thanks for your review and for letting us know of the challenges you've had with the razor. It sounds like there's some adjustments you would need to make to get the results that our other reviewers have been experiencing but we completely understand that a bad experience can put you off. You definitely should not be getting so many cuts and using one blade is known to at the very least reduce irritation. This has been evidenced by many reviewers highlighting how their shaving rash has now completely gone. Thanks again for giving it a go!

I’ve suffered with shaving rash and tried many razors as a result. I came across Lane 44 on Instagram and thought I would give it a go. It’s hands down the worst of all the hundreds of razors I’ve used. I followed the instructions exactly and applied no pressure. I was cut to shreds and have had lots of red lumps and bumps and ingrowing hairs post shave. I’m very unhappy with the my purchase and now have a 6 month supply of razors I can’t use or give away as I wouldn’t want to cause anyone else the same issue.

Unfortunately not as great as i expected, just visually pleasing but the shave itself was no different to getting a 5 blade from the shops. If i could return it i would.

Using L44 Razor. Bought 2 of these razor kits,(£32.00 each) one for me and one for my son. Cut myself to ribbons, what a total waste of £64.00, should have thrown to money straight in the bin and cut myself with a knife the kitchen draw.................... Do not waste your money!!!!!

Hey, Thanks for your review and sorry to hear you've had difficulty using it. It does require a slightly different technique when using but as our other reviews show, the results are generally very favourable when compared to other razors. The most important thing above all else is to use absolutely no pressure. With cartridge razors, pressure is required to get in any way a close shave. With this razor, the weight will do the work for you. This is a key reason why our razor helps combat shaving rash whilst delivering a closer shave. Another thing which is really important, as with any razor, is to make sure your skin is nice and warm before shaving. We always suggest a hot bath or warm shower before beginning to shave. If you want, please feel free to get in touch. We'd love to try and encourage you to give it another go. We're really confident we can help you achieve better results with this razor. Thanks again, Blayne

Hey Nadia, Sorry to hear this. I know it can take time to get used to as there's a different technique to master but generally, the feedback we've received has been very positive. A couple of things that might help if you're willing to give it another go. No pressure at all is the most important thing. Literally none. We would always suggest a warm shower or a bath before shaving. We would say that with any razor but this basically prepares your skin and softens your hair before shaving. It's also really beneficial to exfoliate before shaving. It helps make the surface of your skin really smooth for the razor to glide over. Hope this helps and please feel free to get in touch with any questions. We're always here to help. Best wishes, Blayne
