“Do not buy a house with Larkfleet. The whole process of buying the house was messed around and over complicated considering there was no chain. I have now been in since March 2020, the house had loads of damage prior to me even completing and moving in. My 14 day snagging list has still not been completed and there is no sign of them doing it. The shrinkage that should have been done at 12 months has not been done and they are now refusing to do. My boiler that was less than 12 months old stopped working and when one of their staff fixed it I was left with a gas leak for 3 days. Both my front and back doors have broken several times meaning I’m unable to secure my house and each time customer car have been in no rush to get this sorted. I have been lied to by the staff in the Oakham show room Lauren and Naomi, the site manager John Ireland and the person dealing with my house in customer care Faye Meadows. They continue to pass me between each other whilst not sorting my issues.”
“Avoid at all costs. Build quality beyond poor. Our house wasn’t finished or even painted 100% throughout. Leaks causing major damage to wooden flooring we had just installed. Customer Service is beyond appalling and the worst I’ve ever experienced in my whole life. Escalation process is a joke. Senior management Helen Hicks MD and Karl Hicks CEO did not even respond to my countless emails - shame on you both. I wouldn’t recommend this company if my life depended on it. Worst mistake of my life was buying from Larkfleet.”
“As a Larkfleet Exclusives development you can expect to see the highest standard of traditional craftmanship and outstanding attention to detail. Designed with modern living in mind the houses are spacious and well laid out with top of the range fixtures and fittings.
The above was taken from the Larkfleet sales brochure.
What utter tosh! Avoid like the plague!
This is the reality:-
Failed sewerage soakaway still not repaired after six months from reporting problem and have lost 2 car parking spaces. Have to rely on tanker to monthly empty tank no idea if and when it will ever be repaired.
Patio doors that do not open and close properly, chrome handles all corroded. Installer has attended 3 times but problems persist.
Central Heating fault still not sorted after 5 mths since fault first occured.
Rear garden not levelled as per brochure.
Paving slabs faded from buff to white and dangerous in frost.
Turf poorly laid so grass has died
Front garden not levelled.
Wardrobe doors jamming.
Fascia generates loud cracking noises throughout the house in winter.
This is an abridged list of problems so my advice is do no buy a Larkfleet house unless you want your life to be a misery! Once they have your cash its the wild west when it comes to trying to solve any problems you have with your new Larkfleet home!”
