“I am writing to express my concern regarding my recent visit to your Adult Emergency department. While I want to acknowledge the kindness and professionalism of the staff—particularly the first doctor I saw, who was friendly and made me feel comfortable—I am deeply troubled by the overall experience and the lack of timely medical intervention.
I arrived at approximately 16:45 and was not discharged until around 07:00 the following morning. During this time, I was sitting waiting on a bench in cold and uncomfortable conditions, without access to food or adequate support. My legs became swollen, and I felt increasingly unwell.
nurses took my blood pressure and consistently noted that it was high,he was even worried about it ,I was informed that the doctor had been notified, yet no action was taken to address this. Despite assurances that I would be seen “at once,” I was not provided with any treatment or medication to manage my blood pressure throughout the night.
In the morning, I was told everything was fine and discharged, but I remain concerned that no steps were taken to investigate or manage my elevated blood pressure, which could have posed serious health risks.
I understand that staffing pressures may have contributed to delays, but I believe that basic comfort, communication, and clinical care should not be compromised. I would appreciate a review of this incident and clarification on how such situations are handled to ensure patient safety and dignity.
Thank you for your time and attention.”
