As someone with persistent adult acne, I understand the urgency and emotional toll that comes with trying to find a solution. I came to this clinic hopeful, especially given Roaccutane's proven long-term success for many people. But my experience raised several red flags—mostly around how financially aggressive the clinic’s approach felt. During my initial consultation, I was quickly advised to begin another round of Roaccutane (despite having been through a full course in the past). What concerned me more, though, was being strongly encouraged to discard all of my current dermatologist-approved products (like CeraVe) and replace them with a long list of clinic-sold products and supplements—amounting to nearly £1,000. This felt excessive and out of touch with a patient-first mindset. The pricing model for ongoing care was another surprise. I was told I'd need monthly in-clinic blood tests at £180 per visit, plus £80 for each test, with no option to go through the NHS or a more affordable provider. The full treatment plan was quoted at around £2,000 upfront or more if paid in installments. Other reputable dermatologists in London offer more flexible, affordable options—including less frequent visits and third-party testing. Lastly, I was asked to pay £80 for my first blood test on the day of my consult, even though I hadn’t committed to treatment. When I declined to proceed and requested a refund, I was told it wasn’t possible unless I returned a physical form I no longer had. Despite requesting a reprint, I received no response. After disputing the charge through my card provider, I received a threatening email written entirely in capital letters. Not exactly the tone you'd expect from a professional medical practice. I ultimately chose not to proceed and instead went to the London Skin and Hair Clinic in Holborn, where I received thoughtful, transparent care from Dr. Eleni Anthony. I highly recommend them as an alternative. To be clear: I’m not questioning the effectiveness of Roaccutane or the medical knowledge of the clinic. But for anyone considering treatment here, especially if you're new to London or navigating this privately for the first time, I urge you to ask detailed questions about costs, alternatives, and what’s truly necessary. Your skin deserves care—but so does your peace of mind and your wallet.

Thank you for your comment. We are sorry to hear you feel your milia has recurred. Old milia being treated doesn’t normally return although its usual to develop new ones around the same area. It is very likely this is the case. We will be however happy to see you again to assess you and offer to retreat them. Please let us know. Thank you. please read more about Milia on this link: https://www.dermnetnz.org/topics/milium/ What is the treatment of milia? Milia do not need to be treated unless they are a cause for concern for the patient. They often clear up by themselves within a few months. Where possible, further trauma should be minimised to reduce the development of new lesions. The lesion may be de-roofed using a sterile needle or blade and the contents squeezed or pricked out. They may be destroyed using diathermy and curettage, or cryotherapy. For widespread lesions, topical retinoids may be helpful. Chemical peels, dermabrasion and laser ablation have been reported to be effective when used for very extensive milia.

My money is not worth it. All that was done was they put some chemical on with a swab on the affected area the size of half a pea and then I was instructed to leave it on for a few hours. That's it!!!! Procedure lasted less than a minute. Not worth my trip at all. Should have just stayed home and relaxed

Dear Jeanilette, thank you for your comment. We ate sorry to hear you were not happy with the treatment. We hsve cjecked your notes and we csn see You attended for cryotherapy treatment and our dermatologist treated you correctly. The treatment with sny cryotherapy is only a few seconds long as the temperatures reached are over -80 degrees and if left on the skin any longer it can cause blistering and damage. We understand the treatment was therefore performed correctly. Sometimes a number of treatments may be required. We kindly ask you to research the treatment you have in the future. We will be happy to see you and re-explain the treatment to you again. Thank you.

Hi, I never write reviews but I thought I would with this one. Guys if you don’t know what u want dont go here, they aren’t here to help. Just to throw products at you. I suffered from comedone acne both open and closed and really wanted advise, thy completely ignore you in the room and talk about you while your in the room! Eg Has she filled out the form? No she hasn’t I need to print it out now. So she hasn’t filled the one sent in email to her? No. (I was litrally next to them , in the middle. Like I was just an object) The dermatologist argued with me about who I saw prior and if they really were a dermatologist, my attitude was why are u so concerned about where I went before? To the point he googled them trying. To find them? Lol. He gave me Obaji 5 and tretinoin both at 100 pound each however I ha fused both but a higher strength. These were just shoved down my thrift they literally just want your money. When asked ok within the next 3 months what should I expect, I was told I don’t know we will see. So upon going to pay, luckily I didn’t have my card and the card I had was a savings acc. That was a sign for me and I left. I am now back with skin destination and already my skin has cleared up within a week without having to spend 200 pound! I also start microdermabrasion in two weeks. Much happier!
