“Excellent service and very pleased with the quality of the frame mouldings. Ordered and received the next day by DX - also very good delivery experience. I have withheld a star due to the amount of plastic and bubble wrap. I wrap paintings in corrugated cardboard and eco tape.”

“I have ordered multiple times from LION and they are always very fast and efficient. There is a good selection of mountboards and mouldings, and they always have the stock I require. I knocked a star off as this time my moulding order was almost 40% more than ordered (due to the policy of rounding up to the nearest length, which I accept) and some of it was damaged. Given I had more moulding than required it didn't affect my onward sale, however, when you pay for the extra length it is frustrating that some of it is unusable.”

“On the whole very pleased with the service received from Lion, however recently I seem to have received quite a few damaged mouldings, even ones ordered via the chop service. I would expect better quality control regarding these items, as obviously this incurs a cost to Lion themselves for replacing. Having said that the customer service department has always responded quickly and efficiently!”

“Easy to order (and therefore to spend money!). However, for an amateur framer like me it isn't easy to make up the minimum 10 sheets of mountboard/backing board. I wish you would do float glass too!”

“You would have 5 stars if you'd used Parcelforce instead of DPD. I think my first review failed, so this may be a repeat. There was no option from DPD to choose a safe place to leave the parcel and no clue as to when it would arrive. I missed the delivery on day 1 and had to wait in next day. Their text messages just didn't arrive until the day after I got the parcel, and then they all came at once.”

“Although quite expensive, Lion supplied what we needed quickly and efficiently. The web site is easy to navigate and it's easy to find what we wanted, easy to open an account and place an order, and we'll certainly keep Lion in the frame for future purchases”

“Good website, easy to order and fast delivery. Couple of very minor niggles, one being the foam corner samples weren't marked for identification, so I know which sample fits, but I still don't know which one it is, so can't order them and the D Rings are so stiff and fixed that I couldn't flatten them for the backs of the canvases myself, had to get someone with stronger hands to do it for me.”

“As a company my experience has been very good, delivery is next day and in the years we have been using Lion we have had no issues. This order was for premium stretcher bars, we have been using these for some time and have found them to be very good. Unfortunately they have changed the style of the bars and have left me with bars that don't fit with the new bars. The new bars do not come with the length stamped , which is irritating but not a huge deal. My personal oppinion is that the bars are not as good quality as previously and that is very dissapointing. Whether an original painting or print it is important to us that the finished product looks and feels of good quality.”

“What can I say? I went to the web, placed an order on a Friday and it was delivered the following Monday. Just what I wanted. Not a single word exchanged between customer and supplier. I’m not sure that is progress.”
