“I was initially thrilled with LL Bean Store when I found the brand of comfortable shoes I'd been searching for online. Although the desired color was unavailable, I purchased the shoes due to the store's one-year return policy. After wearing them only once and keeping them in good condition for almost a year, I attempted to return them three times.
Unfortunately, my experience turned sour. During my third visit, the desired color was available, but the cashier claimed I had already returned the shoes, citing the receipt I provided. Despite her best efforts, she couldn't assist me. I was extremely upset, as my initial positive impression had been ruined.
Disappointed, I told the cashier I would never shop at LL Bean Store again and even discouraged friends from doing so. I regret sharing this negative experience, but I needed to express my frustration”
“Recently ordered Women’s Mountain Classic Windproof Fleece jacket “100% recycled polyester, brushed on both sides for softness and warmth”, size small, nautical blue. WOW, I DIDN’T WANT TO TAKE IT OFF. PERFECT FIT ON MY SLIM FRAME. Excellent construction, large zippered pockets, large metal blue zipper, sleeves right length.
Delivered one day early. Truly a “slim fit”, washed well, worth $99.”
“It was not so much LL Bean but one of their products. LL Bean has great service but their Katahdin Field Watch leaves much to be desired. I thought that the watch would last longer than 2 years but the insides fell apart. I had not come close to stressing the watch as it was what I considered my good watch and repairing the watch would have cost as much as the watch sells for.”

“Finished my second snow shoe of 2024 after about 20 total hikes on LLbean snow shoes bought in 2022. The wrap on the Shoes broke at some point on a golf course flat rail …. Put pressure on the metal frame which sheared off … failed about 3/4 of the way. Bright them to the shop at West Leb still cold and wet (the shoes). No receipt …. They could t find my purchase …. Manager said with or without proof of purchase they couldn’t replace the shoe because it was not a manufacturer’s failure. Not buying LLB mean marketing BS that we stand by our products slogan again …. Lost a good customer”
“LL Bean sent me an unexpected package a couple weeks before Christmas. When I opened it, I found a headband I had bought from a different website, and LL Bean's note saying they found it in a package with an item I had returned to them, and figured I had put it in with the return by mistake, and they were sending it back to me. Which is EXACTLY what happened. Absent minded on my part, EXTREMELY good and kind service on theirs. 😍 SO kind of them. (Daughter loved the gift from LL Bean, btw, AND the headband from a different website.). Thanks, LL Bean!! aka Santa's helpers 😇”
“Today is November 20, 2021 ... On November 8th I placed an order for a Balsalm wreath ... after reading some of the negative reviews last year I wasn't sure how successful my order would be ... But I can not praise this wreath highly enough ... it is absolutely perfect! ... absolutely fresh! A splurge I do not regret ... I have it hanging on the inside of my front door where it will receive some cooler temperatures on the back side of it ... My house already smells fragrant and it was just delivered about 40 minutes ago! This makes my Christmas! Thank you LLBean!!!”
