“I've tried a couple different sauces from Marie Sharp, with varying degrees of success. Overall, I quite enjoy the sauces Marie Sharp offers. I've tried the Nopal Green, Belizean Heat, Beware Comatose, and Red Hornet sauces. I'll review them below in both heat and flavor. I have no problem with the heat level of any of these sauces. They are all pretty much what I expected from what I saw online. Nopal Green has notable but not super significant heat, Belizean Heat is maybe slightly hotter, Beware Comatose was only slightly hotter than Belizean Heat, and Red Hornet is a significant step up but is still quite tolerable. In terms of flavor: Nopal Green is a wonderful tasting sauce. Garlic, onion, lime, delicious. Fantastic sauce. Belizean heat is probably the best straight up pepper sauce I've tried. The other two are less positive. I bought Beware Comatose hoping for simply a spicier version of Belizean heat, but I found it a little less flavorful and maybe a bit thinner, in terms of viscosity. Along with the fact that it was not really appreciably spicier, as mentioned above, it was a bit of a letdown in terms of expectations. It seemed to me to just be a.. slightly worse version of Belizean heat. Red Hornet I was similarly hoping for a spicier version of Belizean heat. It is certainly spicier, but it does not taste like Belizean Heat at all. This might be my bad for misunderstanding the intention behind the sauce, but just tastes like salt and vinegar, with a hint of pepper flavor. It is genuinely quite salty, which I was not expecting and don't like. Overall this is the biggest disappointment. I wouldn't recommend this one, there are better tasting sauces with similar or even higher heat levels out there. I bought four 5oz bottles, I don't even know what to do with them. I will definitely purchase other Marie Sharp sauces in the future. Despite devoting a lot of time in this review to the ones I didn't like, the other two I've tried are total favorites of mine, and I want to try more.”
