“Paid more than $500CAD for their top-of-the-line shoes via their online site, and the left one didn't fit well. I would have had to pay to ship them back in addition to what I'd already paid. I strongly advise anyone who would like a pair of Mephistos to visit a Mephisto store, if possible, as opposed to buying online. Trying shoes on first with an experienced salesperson handy is the best way to go. The left shoe is now is the shop, being stretched. Another expense, it may not work, and it may damage the shoe. But as it stands now, I can't wear it, and I can't return it because I wore it a bit to try and break it in, as some websites suggested I do. Big headache, huge waste of money, potentially.”
“I am a long-time Mephisto customer - I have at least 12 pairs of Mephistos, most bought at the Berkeley store before it closed. I ordered a pair of shoes half a size up as suggested by the person I phoned, as it was a different fabric (stiffer) than the normal Mephisto all-rounders I buy in stone grey. They arrived and did not fit. I asked to return or exchange them, and they absolutely refused. i am now done with Mephisto - terrible service.”

I was looking to buy a pair of sneakers with a large toebox and a shoe in wide.
Unfortunately there was barely any customer service and the sales person was clearly not interested. There was no one else in the store.
It seems ,that mephisto has enough customers , but the emptiness of the store said otherwise”

“Worst customer service ever. Within a month of buying Mephisto shoes they developed a CRACK. Customer service insists that it's the way I walk and not a defect (that way they don't need to fix it). I normally wear my shoes for a year, this happened in a month. Terrible company.”
