“When I attempted to submit a chargeback, I found that there was no appropriate option to title my submission. I raised a dispute with a title that seemed most relevant to my case. However, it appeared that my submission and attached documents were not reviewed, as I received a response denying my claim with no explanation.
I subsequently initiated a dispute with customer service because I believe my case is eligible under the terms and conditions. Unfortunately, the representatives refused to explain why my claim was deemed ineligible, and they closed my submission as well as the chat without further assistance.
I am extremely disappointed with the level of service I received. This experience has caused me to seriously consider transferring my account to another bank. Their attitude towards customers is simply unacceptable!”
“What can I say. It seems that the bank are trying to make it as complicated as possible for the customer. In attempting to offer so much, and "be different", with all this stuff about Pots, I nearly lost the will to live in just trying to close my account.
This closure was purely because of the complexities of running the account.
Although one can speak to a person, they then refer you on to a chat line to solve the problem. These people then text instructions on how to solve the problem. In my case I had already done it (several times). Finally I needed to reinstall the app. This is a potted version of the 2 hours it all took. If you are not very techy, then think twice about using Monzo.”
