“The most important reason is because I bought an avanti s v2, put a spektrum 8360T receiver on it and lost signal during flight and crashed. I had multiple hobbyist giving opinions on receiver and antenna placement. Ultimately none of the suggestions passed the range test with my second avanti. I had to drill holes in the fuselage for the antenna leads to stick through to have them away from everything that could interfere with the signal. I also put a srxl remote satellite receiver under the canopy to hopefully insure prevention of another crash. I would like to see more done or spec'd out in the manual in the future by all rc manufacturers on receiver and antenna placement. Consumers shouldn't have to sacrifice their own money to trial and error a brand new plane and potentially crash and lose everything.”
