“We booked a Friday evening for my birthday, paid for a window seat, the music was SO LOUD we asked to have it turned down, not much happend so my boyfriend went up to the disco DJ'S and said,,, THIS IS A VERY EXPENSICE PLACE TO EAT NOT A DISCO AT A WEDDING, TURN THE #£/&÷&@ MUSIC DOWN, which they did but it spoiled a lovely night,, oh and the steak was chewy,,been before, probably won't go again,,, it seems Mr White dosn't really care.”
“Had afternoon tea shown to our seats, didnt ask if there were any dietary requirements, minimum selection of food, sandwiches had started to go stale and cakes had no taste. Minimal interaction with waiter then charged a service charge and also on the bill was £5 each for a window view, which we didn't ask for. Not a good experience”

The food has descended into average - it used to be so good and a beautiful setting - one that requires a tinkly piano not some due bashing out Bruce Springsteen songs.

“My daughter and her partner came for lunch 26th Jan and had very bad service , you ran out of chips her lemonade was flat ( pregnant so not drinking) and was told you wouldn’t change it ,it was all very rushed and the fish n chips(fries) were average for what you charge, it was her birthday treat and they were totally underwhelmed , I emailed this complaint and was told it would be passed to management! That was 3 weeks ago and I’ve heard nothing - to add insult to injury a £8 service charge was added to the bill which they asked to be removed ! Shall not be recommending especially when no one can be bothered to deal with negative feedback absolutely shocking!”

I would like to raise a attention we have walked in with my other 2 friends there was over 10 staff working in the restaurant none of them have approached to us we had to get their attention anyway when we have requested window table we have been informed that there is extra charge of £5 pp ridiculous its not enough that we are already choosing to dine on top we have to pay for a seat however finally we had our table not to mention restaurant was empty we have waited 20 min to staff to take our order as we were trying to get their attention they were busy talking with the manager and not paying enough respect and attention to their guests/customer
Such a shame that POOR Management ruins Marco Pierre ‘s reputation”
“I recently visited the Birmingham restaurant based at the top of the cube building. Very nice place, staff, ironed tableclothes. I chose from the 3 course for £25 menu. I was so very disappointed. Ham hock was like a slice of spam. Served with piccalili nothing special no flavour. 35 day old steak. 3 tiny vine tomatoes , over cooked chips . Nothing special .No flavour. Dessert was a lemon tart with a spoon of ice cream. Tart was nice but not any effort whatsoever on presentation. This restaurant is highly overrated. Marco I am sure that this is well below your standards.”
“I visited for food the first time last Saturday, I had been to the bar previously but not eaten. Our starters were fabulolus and my partners T Bone steak was good however my Sirloin was rare as opposed to medium rare and was a little tough, only I ordered a pudding which wasn't great. The overall dining experience we were disappointed in as the tables were extremely close together and gave a feel of a canteen where you could hear the conversations of surrounding tables as if sat on them. I would frequent the bar again as the surroundings and atmosphere are good however I doubt I would use the restaurant again. I would like to add that the staff were attentive and pleasant.”
