“Growing up, I had a lot of physical limitations that prevented me from functioning like a normal human being. When I turned 20, those limitations got stricter, making me think I should get a service dog. I began the hunt for a service dog, and ultimately came to the conclusion that I should buy a puppy and train her from the start. Well, I found My Golden Retriever Puppies while scrolling through instagram one day, and I contacted Galen with my request for a service dog with a specific temperament. He forwarded me to Martha and Robert, who were such amazing and kind people.
Martha and Robert, being in this business for so long, were able to identify for me a puppy that matched the temperament I was looking for in a service dog. So, in a matter of months, I rasied the money thanks to my community to adopt Chilli, (Then Jasmine), my puppy and soon to be service dog. What was also great is that we sent Chilli to Ashley for two weeks to be trained in all the basic things before coming to us. Ashley did an AMAZING job with Chilli, and we felt the price for the extra training was so well worth it. It laid a foundation that we could work on for her service dog training abilities. Additionally, she got her used to the car which was so handy since we had a long road trip back home.
When it came time to pick up Chilli, it became a whole family affair. We live in Virginia, so we took a family road trip and met Ashley's dad in Pennsylvania to pick up Chilli. It was so kind of him to go out of his way to drop off Chilli to us. The delivery was smooth, and we all instantly fell in love.
A huge thank you to Galen, Martha, Robert, Ashley, and her dad for this whole process of getting Chilli to us. The process was so easy and it was a wonderful experience. She has been a huge blessing in my life and my family's lives. In all my 21 years on this Earth, I don't know how I lived without a dog. Chilli turns 1 in less than a month, and it's already crazy how fast the time has flown. I would highly recommend My Golden Retriever Puppies!

“We got Hugo (now named Bowie) he is the sweetest little boy and so smart. However we noticed the next day he had some diarrhea. We thought ok. Maybe it’s the treats/new food. Nope, 3 days after his arrival he was tested positive for Giardia. Which we are still doing our best to help him. Luckily we got pet Insurance before he came. Right now we have paid 1400 in vet bills because Bowie wouldn’t have an appetite to eat or drink. To this he still has soft stools. From our vet they said it’s gonna be a never ending battle for a few months. Pretty sure Bowie got it at there and not in our home since we have another dog that does NOT have it”
We’re sorry to hear Bowie has had a rough start and hope he’s feeling better soon. Intestinal parasites are unfortunately very common in puppies, especially during periods of stress and transition, and digestive issues can sometimes linger for a bit even after treatment begins. Thankfully, most puppies do improve with time, supportive care, and consistency as they settle into their new homes. Please continue working closely with your veterinarian, and feel free to reach out to us or your breeder if you have any further concerns along the way.

(formerly “Izzy”) is a beautiful, happy, and healthy golden girl! She was transported from Ohio to Texas without us meeting her in-person, and we had absolutely no difficulties. We were sent lots of pictures throughout her travel journey! We firmly believe that the breeder crate-trained her before we received her, because we did not have any trouble with her the first few nights! She has the best temperament and loves to “smile!” I could not recommend this site enough! We got everything we were promised and more!”
