“My first time in Nando's in the last month believe it or not! I've been recommended to go for years, but finally took the plunge with the chicken wrap and extra hot sauce: it had just the right kick for my taste!”
“Southport branch sat down 30 minutes after restaurant opening for a birthday meal, l got the order in, paid, all good. Starters arrived tepid but still ok carry on people it's a birthday meal. Starters having been started were soon followed by Beccy "The Manager” sorry but we don't have any chicken cooked, actually forget the sorry that word was never uttered. Shock horror confusion from me a chicken restaurant that’s just opened for the day and no cooked chicken.......Beccy it's going to be 30 minutes wait for chicken OR you can pick something else, apart from chicken with another starter on them. Dazzled by the offers but not in a good way I felt it was time to pack up and move on the somewhere else to have a meal without gaps of 30mins between courses + I know this place of old and a Nandos 30min is Nando Ish speak for 45mins to an hour. Now at this is the point is where Beccy really let down the company and the brand when I requested a full refund including the starters and drinks pointing out that we were only informed after the starters had landed of the delay which made the whole meal untenable for us. Sadly, in Beccy's opinion and in her mind, we had been given two really good options so now standing her ground became more important and therefore not refunding our starters and the drinks which in reality would have only cost Nandos around £6 in terms of cost of the food to them. What they did instead was dump the starters on us fully aware of the delay on the main courses in order to collect the cost of said starters as they'd already been cooked. With a total dismissal for a clearly very unhappy customer at that point Beccy left for the kitchen never to be seen again. The result as always in these types of confrontations is that the customer will vote with their feet typically our spend in Nandos per year is around £500 on birthday meals and other family occasions now we will never set foot in that restaurant chain again. Also, I will be contacting their head offices to seek a full refund and complain about my experience and finally leaving a similar reviews to this one on Tripadvisor and Google. Awful experience which could have been handled so much better by the manager and at very little cost to the restaurant itself.”
“Ordered 2 side of chicken breast $5.99 each and two sides of rice my total with tip was $37 dollars I asked why and they said oh cause you got the butterfly chicken breast which is not even on there menu and they charged me a $5.00 carry out fee! They lost me as a customer!”

And as we left and so with the other costumer on the other table since we were talking , how bad the service was, we heard them - the staff laughing. “I purchased a regular Mac and cheese from Nando on Hurontario. When I got home the portion was only half. When I called the lady told me they have been directed by head office to cut the portions. After displaying the regular container on the counter they charge for regular put only half fill it. So please make sure you look before you leave the store as this is their new directive. I won’t be going back there again.”
“Someone needs to tell Nandos that they are serving chicken , not beef. Your portions are small , your prices are high and after we spend $72 on 1 adult and 2 kids we are still hungry. It’s chicken $5 per whole chicken wholesale does not mean you can charge $40-$50 per chicken cooked. Better potions elsewhere and quality is better at charcoal chicken shops”
“Order taking people at Nandos are the worst especially at thr Heartland Mississauga branch. They gave me the wrong order, argued with me that i made the mistake which i told here repeatedly i never order what they gave me since they have my historical purchase and insist they cannot correct my order. “Nandos have switched many dishes from chicken breast to chicken thighs, which is low cost for them, but they still charge the same. The meat now has a lot of fat, is greasy, the skin is left on. Not nice to eat if you are used to the chicken breast.”

“I and my 2 kids went to Nando’s in Subang Parade for dinner. We were very very disappointed with the food.
Our peri-peri chips were cold when it arrived and the corn on the hob was icy cold. The chicken was warm but edible.”

I ordered online on Sat, but due to an emergency call was not able to pick it up, so I called and asked if my order can be moved to Monday. The lady behind the phone was so kind and told me she has arranged it with K..n - the manager- so I can show up on Monday to pick up the order around the same time I initiated on Sat.
On Monday, I went there at 5:05 - 25 min earlier than order time. I went to the cashier and start telling the story: "I have ordered online for taking out on Sat..." before I even finish my sentence, she jumped and pointed to the take out section saying: "Take outs are there."
I continued "... I do not think my orders are ready yet," again before letting me finish my sentence she said: "DID YOU LOOK AT taking OUTS TO SEE YOUR NAME?" Her tone was very judgemental and offensive.
following her "bully advice", I went to take a look at the take out section and did not see my name there, so went back and told her "not there", then I explained again! And said, "I was told K..n, the manager is aware of this!" so she went to the manager's office and came back and said: "Your order would be ready by 5:30". It was almost 5:10''. So I said, "since I am here can you put the order now so it gets in the line in the kitchen?" She went to the kitchen and came back saying: "we do not have your order!".
I showed her the confirmation email, and at this time another staff came over saying "did you call before you come here!", I said: "I was told to show up on Monday, am I supposed to call?" She said: "Yes!" and at this time manager "K..n" came out and said: "Your food would be ready by 5:30 because it takes 20 minutes to prepare the order and it is 5:10 now!" He said that and rolled his eyes and went toward the kitchen with no apology or any attempt to acknowledge the customer's frustration!
I went outside and came back at 5:30. The food was in the take-out section. Nobody was around. So I took the bag and left. Later I found the food was cold, tasted old, and except the mashed potato, the rest went to garbage!
I am so sorry for the manager as I am sure part of the reason for staff's horrible attitude comes from the manager's behavior and attitude. Farewll Nando's!”
