“Wave Water Supply is terrible. They overcharge, waste your time, and have awful customer service that doesn't solve issues. Feels like they're robbing people. Avoid at all costs!”
“Meter installed one year ago, still waiting for Wave to register it. Wave/the wholesaler are even disputing the installation month/date, despite the fact I was present for the installation.
Meanwhile I'm still being billed for unmetered usage and still haven't been refunded the substantial overpayments. Complaint unresolved after 8 months... a stressful and protracted ordeal which has wasted si much precious time.
I'm afraid on this basis I can't recommend Wave Water to anyone. However, depending on the outcome of my complaint, my review rating may change in due course - I certainly hope so.”
“Awful company, after 8 years of being on a fully serviced business site wave took it upon themselves to believe they supplied water to our property, even though we are on a serviced site and us and all the other businesses pay water in our rent to our landlord, wave where informed of this numerous times by ourselves and our landlord which they chose to ignore, no other business on the site including our landlords offices have received a water bill just us and as the water pipes are all connected to each property how do they supply to just us and no one else. Our landlord has supplied information to wave they pay the site water rates to water plus who are the default suppliers to businesses in the north west as we are in a united utilities area, if the landlord had changed they would have needed to sign a contract which wave can’t provided. Ours and our landlords legal teams are now having to deal with this at OUR expense. Wave have also sent debt recovery to our business to get payment for the made up bills. Water company’s are already in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons and this adds a new low for them threatening small businesses with made up bills, and before a wave employee replies saying they are so sorry send us an email, we already have you take over 3 weeks to reply to them but less than 24hrs to reply to negative feedback on here, the customer number you have made up for us is 88889063093, pathetic company threading small businesses and bills they don’t owe.”
“OMG the worst company ever ripped me off for £50 which was taken from my account. Then said I have to pay £950, then £298. I cant believe they have not be struck off!!!! Will be going to the ombudsman to put is a complaint of fraud. Do not use this company. You have been warned!”
“We’ve been waiting for a refund of around £4000 in overpayment. Wave have agreed they owe us it but say that problems with their IT system is preventing them from issuing the refund.
We are a charity and £4k is a lot for us to stand.”
“Terrible company to deal with. I have been trying for since 2019 to get a correct bill.
They don't seem to be able to give you the simple data that your bill should be based on, i.e. m3 of effluent they are billing you for in each billing period.”
“This is one of the worst utility company to deal, got no clues, I setup few times my direct debit and still, I get bills sent to me saying I owe them money.”
“My company received a visit by debt collectors threatening to cut off our water. They had the wrong company and address. Staff time wasted and a distressed receptionist. No response to complaints to customer service. Absolutely appalling.”

“they are criminals, they deliberately over estimate, then when you correct they dont send a revised bill and when you dont pay the overestimated bill they charge you £200.”
“Had a Direct debt claimed of over £10,000 when our normal bills are around £30. Then had to wait days for them to return the funds. I canceled the Direct debit after that. Lucky I did becuase the next bill was thousands of pounds as well!! Switched companies now, but guess what they are chasing for bill of roughly £6,000 that is based on the same, incorrect meter read that they insist on using which has nothing to do with our property. Never get an email back, don't even try calling them. Disgusting company.”
“Ex Anglian Water business customer.
My normal bill is £300 per year.
Three months ago I was sent a bill for £10,000, which has now increased to £15,000. They have now threatened to cut off my supply.”
“Horrendous experience. Sent a bill equating to 10 years usage of water. Got that sorted through formal complaints procedure. Next quarter, estimated bill at about 3-4 years usage after deducting my sorted out lowered payment from previous quarter. I despair. Trying again with formal complaints procedure, but if I ran my business like this, I'd be bankrupt within 12 months. Next stop - water Complaints council and my MP! What else can I do!”
