“Please avoid, bought a car 19th December 2025, sales (Paul) told me the car needs a MOT, AA inspection and a full service, pick the car up 23rd December and got home and no paperwork, none of the work has been completed then the 24th December car broke down none of them interested and wouldn’t help me, had to go on company house to get directors information and track them down, took over 6 weeks to sort the car, the first time the car went in they had it 2 weeks then I got it back and they didn’t even do the work again been pushed from pillar to post, then they had it back in for another week. service/after sales never answer the phone/emails - communication is terrible. Will never buy a car from these again worst car buying experience ever - please avoid them because if you do get a car with problems you will literally pull your hair out trying to sort it. So save yourself the trouble and go else where”
“We went to Oakwood recently to pick up a Used car that we had agreed to buy on-line, having received an acceptable offer for our existing car. On arrival we were waiting around for some time as the salesman we had come to see was dealing with other customers. Eventually he came over, took us out to the car and suggested we take it for a test drive as he would be another 20 minutes as he was dealing with other customers. We were not offered any refreshment at any time whilst we were waiting.
After returning from the test drive there was more waiting around, it seems like the salesman was trying to keep "too many plates spinning". The 'boss' then wanted to take a look at our car, after this he gave us our keys back without saying anything to us but then the salesman we were dealing with advised us the boss had said a much lower offer for our car. We should have walked away but having driven so far to get there and after all the waiting had got so far into the process we negotiated a figure nearer but not as much as the original offer. On agreeing to continue with the purchase and yet more waiting the salesman came over to us in the seating area with his laptop, we were not invited to go to his desk.
After more waiting we were then transfered to his colleague to finalise the sale in the other building, at another table.
We then advised them that the battery in the key was almost out of charge so it was taken away to be attended to. More considerable waiting around as our salesman was with yet another customer. Eventually another salesman asked if we 'were OK'. I replied that we were "definately not OK and were waiting too long". He just walked away. I felt we were invisible so after more waiting I went into a nearby office to ask when we would be attended to. A few minutes later the salesman brought the key to us and that was the end of that.
We got the distinct feeling that we were given second hand service for a second hand vehicle. Extremely disappointing.”
“My partner bought a car less than 6 months ago. A serious fault developed and even though under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 it is the dealers responsibility to repair or replace the vehicle, we were offered £500 to fix a £1350 fault or cover the costs ourselves to bring the car back to them to fix (8 hour round trip!) the sales team were unprofessional, unhelpful and damn right rude, avoiding our calls and cutting us off at every opportunity. I would think very carefully about purchasing a car from this company as I believe they are knowingly selling sub par cars at high prices in the hope that their customers won’t know their legal rights. It’s dealerships like this that give second hand dealerships a bad name. The Director Christian Barry WOODHAMS should be ashamed of himself and his sales team!”
“Not the car that's the problem...not in my case anyway....been buying motors and bikes long enough to decide if I can take a punt and yes these guys are just buying at auction and spinning them into retail..... spending as little as possible...(by that I mean near enough zero)..so you pays your money and takes your chance.
It is their after-care that appears to be the problem, they are truly well balanced individuals...they definitely have chips on both shoulders..I only rang to ask if they had processed the V5C as it was 3 weeks after I did the deal and the DVLA are exceeding everyone's expectations at the moment with sub 5 day turnarounds...apparently they post them!...and when I expressed real wonderment and could he confirm that mine had been sent the guy got really snippy,..and then told me I was rude....probably because I laughed.
Anyway....what is really interesting is the inconsistency of review opinions on these guys..they are truly marmite ...what is abundantly clear is that their business model is to buy at auction...not to touch them in any way until they get a sale and then do the minimum of work they can get away with ......."we sell them at trade price bruv" is their mantra..so "buyer beware" in terms of the apparent state of repair of any car you could get from them and the similarly the support you will likely get if things go wrong...like buying privately only with bigger margins....as for me then the car is fine...the issues the car has I don't have a problem with..I am pragmatic about that..but this crew's post sales attitude?.....that is something that is beyond redemption I would wager...they make money..."why would we change bruv innit tho"?
Oh and count your fingers if you shake hands with them....jus' sayin'”
“Absolute disgraceful customer service
Messed about so many times finally picked the car up having been let down twice before saying they couldn’t do a part ex deal, then was rang back two days later saying they could do a deal. Was told to pick the car up on the Saturday as it was in for paint touch up and service, then got a phone call at 8.30am on the day I was ment to be picking up the car to be told I can’t go because the light needed fitting and the car wasn’t ready.
The week after picked up the car which had scratches on the bonnet and passenger doors.
I drove the car 15 min to my mums got out of the car to find the door didn’t lock
Rang them back to be told to take it back a few days later and that I would have to lock the door from the inside for the time being.
Then as I was driving home on the motorway the engine management light came on, I rang again to be told I should buy their £700 extended guarantee to which I replied I shouldn’t have to purchase this.
The warranty kept being mentioned over the phone to which I got to the point of saying I wanted my old car back as it was unacceptable.
I still haven’t received my £100 holding fee from back in February I’m currently on my 4th email.
I would steer clear of this place
I’ve asked 3 times for full names of the 2 people I’ve delt with to give to my case with trading standards and still haven’t been given them”
“Do not buy a vehicle from this garage!!!!!
Do not buy a vehicle from this garage, brought an Audi a3 and drove it home which was 3 miles from the garage. By the time I got home the car over heated and did not sound right. Returned the car the next day and the garage took the car to a friend to check this over. Apparently all was checked and was ok but I have video evidence on this. A month later the garage has still not shut down my account and are still trying to take payments for this vehicle. The people on the phone are very rude, and are refusing to take the vehicle back even though it was returned 48 hours after purchase. Terrible experience with this dealership, would not recommend.”
“These guys buy cars from auctions and sell them quickly for a profit. If they are good you are fine but if like so many they are bad you have no chance of getting and help or money out of these people. No scruples here they just rip you off. They offer to pay for repairs and then dont pay. Their own law firm, Law Data, despairs of them. I bought a £6k car had days of my time wasted and ended up paying £3k+ to put it right. Please do not buy from these awful people.”
