“My friend was very delighted with his Baileys, chocolate and coffee gift but I am disappointed that it took 8 days to get from Auckland to central Dunedin. Granted there was Anzac Day in between”

Suzie thank you for your feedback. I am delighted that your friend enjoyed their gift. I do understand your disappointment with the delivery times, having selected economy delivery to the South Island your gift should have taken up to 3 working days. Unfortunately despite our best efforts to ensure quick delivery, you would have seen on our website as well as an email communication that there are current courier delays due to Covid causing reduced courier staff. In addition, as you mention, there were public holidays that impacted the delivery of your gift. In saying this, I do understand that these delays can be upsetting and I apologize on behalf of our courier partners for the impact it had on your gift delivery.

I would like to apologize for the miscommunication or lack thereof as well as the upset that this caused. As mentioned in my email communication to you, in certain instances we provide a complimentary upgrade of same-day delivery when we have been made aware of possible delays through the overnight courier. When doing so an email is sent to customers to explain the process and inform them of the courier change. Unfortunately, it would appear that a truly honest human mistake was made by a still fairly new team member, which resulted in you not receiving this email, and for this, I am certainly very sorry. As mentioned in my email, I can confirm that your was delivered on the requested delivery date. We value your purchase through Oh Goodie and the feedback you have provided. This has highlighted a process error that we have worked to resolve and eliminate from happening again. A gesture of apology in way of a partial refund was processed earlier in the week, I trust that this has been received.

“The recipient was really happy. I want you to know that the courier you used was amazing. I inadvertently put the wrong street number on the order. She rang me to check and then waited while I found the correct number. Then she sent me a txt to tell me where she had left the parcel. I was enormously grateful for the effort she went to on a day when I’m sure she was really busy.”

“Fabulous service! I put through my order at 9am on a Friday morning and they were able to have it delivered that same day. I even had to change the address 2 hours after ordering and it was no problem. Would 100% use Oh Goodie again!”
