Corrupt Energy it’s named should be changed to. If you take on a property with them involved run run run. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired their charges per day are a massive £4 + vat standing charge & please don’t rely on them to contact you as they are bit slow takes them 8wks to answer an email & during that time they are scamming you with their excessive charges. OFGEM needs to check them out & shut them down. No stars if possible.

Rip off company Put me on variable rate even though I’m in contract I have been a loyal customer Then they don’t pick the phone up Be aware!

Terrible company, was out of contract with then , switching to another supplier was problem after problem, I've switched many times before and never had these many problems, definitely never use again

Operating fraudulently: illegally without authorisation (nor communicating with the supply authorised customer) split my residential economy 7 meters into 1x residential + 1x business: this blocks switching back to any residential supplier on 1/3 tariff. Opus due to pay legal fine but bullied Ombudsman with faked data claiming account still residential (Opus only supply business). Daily harassment refuse to go to court. AVOID! I invite/dare Opus Energy to go to court where they will pay huge fines and personal damages.

I really don't understand how this company still exists!? The best advise for "potential customers" would be-AVOID AVOID AVOID. Bunch of liars.. £1222 for 3 month of electricity use? With 3 bulbs, and 1 heater(2kw), 4-8pm weekdays only? Taking my case to Ombudsman. please avoid this company at all costs!

Opus energy, my oh my. I must have been out of my head to agree to join this company for electricity/gas supply. Love energy arranged my contract for 3 years. I was half way thru when the cancelled my contract becos apparently I had failed a credit check 18 months ago. They started charging out of tariff rates which I refuse to pay as my contract terms had been violated by these rogue company. Now they threatening me with court action. I say bring it on. I will be taking you to the ombudsman. Take head dont sign on to this company. Daylight robbers ! All staff are trained to lie and con people

Same as some of the other reviews got charged £1.50 per day standing charge on a property I purchased didn't even know who or where the gas meter was or was with then get a bill couple of months later no agreed contract with me prior to this just we will put you on a deemed rate until you get in touch!!!! called them to explain the situation, No interest in what I had to say just that's what you owe !! shambles of a company !!! Just get passed from pillow to post while your bill goes up & up & up !!!! I join the long list of of poor people that also have the same issue as me !!!! AVOID AT ALL COST !!!!!!!

I already informed them through email 5 months back to cancel the service as the property is not in use and empty. They started Charging me £3 standing charges per day without any authorisation. It went up to £4/day without my authorisation. Now they sent a bill of £291 just with standings charges builded up. During this time the meter reading was only showing 1kw and it costs 0.51p. When i Contacted the customer care, I have to deal with an arrogant, dictating customer service staff named Mark (ID 6467). He was shouting at me on the phone. He was not providing me the details and breakdown of bills per month when I requested and told me to go and find it myself. So I am not sure what is his job as customer assistant. I was shocked how I was treated, after reading the reviews here I understand this is an ongoing issue for a lot of people including me. My suggestion to the people reading this is to be careful with opus energy and if possible opt out and move on.

Here I am again writing another review about this rogue company. Had a problem with billing. They led me to believe I was being helped to reach a resolution, only to issue me with a dead lock letter after wasting my time for months. Take head folks, they do so, so that they dont have to further look into your problem and use this as an excuse not to answer your emails and calls. Take heed and donot sign up to them. Thieves and day light robbers.

The only way I would be able to help future customers by telling them about you, is they will be able to run a mile b4 thinking about signing up with you. You have been warned people. Whoever suggests these supplier to u is not your friend. Take head folks.

The energy for one of my businesses are supplied by this company. The most dishonest employees work here. I have overpaid for nearly £5000 by weekly standing orders. They delayed to process the refund for over 6 weeks. Every time they told me a new excuse in order to keep the credit even I was still paying them every week. Now I cancelled the standing order and supplied every single document that they requested but they are still not willing to refund the credit. It seems the credit belongs to the employees. Not recommended at all. Stay away from this company!

Bunch of Thieves. They charged us all the way during the lockdown on normal usage profile and it is a lot of money they owe me now. The business was shut and all the plant & equipment were switched off. The are denying anything wrong and want me to hire an engineer to find a fault at our premise at our cost and provide them a report.

Avoid at all costs - chasing payment and did credit check on me and never been a customer!!! Still not replied to numerous emails Received an outstanding bill to our business address for another company at another address but somehow their credit department linked our company with another one and are chasing payment! Despite doing a quick google search I managed to find the other company. Phoned the company then they said they couldnt speak to me about it due to data protection, despite us now being chased for payment. So tried emailing (several times), included screenshots of our company and the company who is owed money and then received a pathetic email saying it was with the change of tenancy team. I am not and have never been (nor will be) a customer. Still waiting for a reply to numerous emails and today I have discovered they have done a credit check on me, despite the person who is owed the money being a different name to me. This is now on my credit history! Absolute shambles of a company and disgraceful they cant reply, apologise or sort out the issue! AVOID IF YOU HAVE ANY SENSE!

Shocking customer service, scare tactics and scammers. They are charging me £1600 for 3 weeks of electricity on a building that was closed and unoccupied. They have no way to prove why it’s so high but insist it’s correct. When I dispute the numbers they threaten debt collectors, they then send a final bill that I pay and then weeks later they claim to have made a mistake and request another £1200. Avoid at all costs.
