“Delivery service was fantastic with regular updates on where my Shimano spinning reel clip for my harness was at in the delivery chain. A competitive Aussie business which we need to support due to great customer service. A tip from a staff member was to leave a note to the delivery driver saying that I want package left in letterbox or inside a ped. gate as we live on a few acres with the home away from the letterbox. I was 5 minutes behind the delivery person and it was taken 20klms. away to the nearest Post Office. Otto says there can be issues with non delivery so they get it delivered to P.O. Lucky my partner had to go to the PO anyway but could be inconvenient.”

“Very good experience. At first I thought the website looked a little dodgy but I ordered the led lenser mh8 headtorch anyway because it was a good $80 cheaper than any other website I could find. To my surprise they shipped it the next day, and the day after that it was in my hands. Very happy!”

“In early December, I entrusted my reel to Otto's for repair, with the expectation of a prompt resolution within approximately two weeks. About a week later, Otto's reached out, quoting a repair cost of $170, which I accepted considering the reel's value. However, subsequent updates on the progress were scarce. Towards the end of December, following a lack of communication, I reached out to inquire about the status of the repair, only to be advised to await further updates. As the new year commenced, I took the initiative to follow up in mid-January, only to be informed that the holiday closure of Penn, the manufacturer, would extend the repair timeline by at least another week. Despite assurances of timely communication upon completion, I received no further updates. February elapsed without any advancement, prompting me to withhold further inquiries, foreseeing a recurring pattern. However, by mid-March, frustration had reached its peak. Upon reaching out to Otto's once again, I was informed that the employee responsible for the repair would remain unavailable for an additional two weeks. Given the wait of nearly four months, I made the decision to retrieve my reel and seek repair services from an alternative establishment. I'd recommend avoiding Otto's for your fishing gear needs. They also tend to be on the pricier side compared to other fishing stores. You might find better deals and service elsewhere.”
