“After 8 weeks usage over 2 years of a new Eclipse Pro 380 rain began to collect in 3 areas on the roof . Outdoor Revolution said for £45 they would check the problem and if there was a problem they would discuss a replacement. After a 4 week delay they simply said "Unfortunately you must understand this is a two year old awning and U.V damage is a common occurrence when correct maintenance steps are not taken."
No explanation for the pockets of water collecting on the roof and they either did check it and found a problem or they never even bothered. This has been used only 3 times!
An appalling company who simply take the money and have no interest thereafter.”
“I was interested in the Outdoor Revolution Sportlite Air 320 EX awning which claimed to be suitable for caravans and motorhomes. Many awnings that do both need adjusting because caravan and motorhome awning rails work differently.
Prior to buying the awning from an online camping shop, I contacted Blue Diamond (who manufacture the Outdoor Revolution brand) to check it would work with a Fiamma awning rail (which is a windout awning wound in and just the keder strip used) without any alterations. I was told "no alterations needed".
Unfortunately, this wasn't the case. There was an 8cm gap between the inflatable awning poles and the motorhome and the awning would collapse in the slightest wind.
When I contacted the online seller about this I was told I might need to buy both support pads and support poles - which to me count as alterations!
And when I went back to Blue Diamond about this, they said my initial email was "misleading". I was shocked. What kind of customer service is this? Misleading suggests I *purposefully* asked a question in a way as to get an incorrect answer. Which is nonsensical. Someone needs customer services training.
I returned the awning to the online seller for a full refund, but only after an exchange of 26 emails and 2 phone calls over a 12-day period with the online seller who eventually accepted a return without support from Blue Diamond.
(I've since bought a poled awning from another manufacturer that's specifically designed to work with motorhomes, and which held up in a coastal thunderstorm!)”
“Just bought one of your awnings for our caravan this year. Until then we had a canvas one. This new awning absolutely made our holiday its so airy and full of light much wider than our old one we were able to sit out in it even with our queen size bed in it and have drinks each night with our friends”
“SCAMMERS!! BEWARE!!
They market their products as designed in the UK but they are not, they import their stuff from China I've spoken to the actual manufacturer and they are all made and designed in China (you can buy it all from Alibaba, £199 for a tent that Outdoor Revolution sell for £1500)
Absolutely shocking customer service, we had a brand new tent explode on us after 2 hours of it being up, it took them a year to replace it but the new tent was full of issues.
I made a complaint that it took a year to get a replacement and the fact their dealer threatened me and miraculously they have now 'lost' my warranty registration.
So now i have a tent that I spent over a thousand pounds on and it goes flat every 10 minutes and they refuse to replace the tubes under its lifetime warranty.
Avoid this company!”
“Non-existent after sales service. Had a problem with one air beam which has taken 9 weeks to finally resolve. Followed all OR guidelines to rectify the issue but just hit brick walls and was repeatedly lied to.
It's a shame because I do like the tent itself, but i'll never buy anything from this dreadful company again.”
“I bought one of their awnings: Outdoor Revolution Movelite Cayman Tail Drive-Away Awning. The awning itself seems fine (used for only 4 nights so far).
However, it came with a card and instructions to register it for warranty purposes. That's when the "fun" began. It is not on their drop-down list on the registration page, and there is no way of adding a product that isn't listed.
So I phoned. The person who took the phone call refused to register it on the grounds that it had glass fibre poles and wasn't an air frame version. She could not answer the questions of how I was to register the warranty or what the point was of including documentation with the awning telling me that I needed to register it if they were not prepared to do so.
In the long run, it's not a big deal because my contract is with the vendor, who will be liable if the awning turns out to be not up to scratch, but I think this is a poor attitude from Outdoor Revolution.”
