I don’t normally write massive reviews, but I felt compelled to for the Pawtronic Pro Series 2 because finding a reliable GPS fence is an absolute minefield online. We have a semi-rural 2.5-acre property, and our golden retriever, Max, loves to wander. Putting up a physical fence was going to cost thousands, and I refused to dig trenches to bury wires for an old-school invisible fence. We’ve been using the Pro Series 2 for about two months now, and it has genuinely changed our daily routine, giving us total peace of mind whenever he is outside. The setup via the app was incredibly straightforward and a massive upgrade over older systems. Instead of a basic radius circle that would bleed into our neighbor's yard, this allowed me to customize a precise 8-sided polygon that fits our exact property lines. It took me maybe 15 minutes to outline the boundary, pair the collar via Bluetooth, and sync it up. Plus, there are zero monthly subscription fees, which was a huge selling point for me because I am so tired of every piece of tech requiring a monthly payment just to function. In terms of performance, the boundary accuracy has been incredibly stable. Max learned the perimeter within the first week using just the sound tone and vibration settings; it gives him a warning beep as he approaches the edge, and he knows exactly where to stop. It's just crucial to remember that this is a containment fence system, not a live, real-time GPS tracker. The app is used to build and push the custom boundary map directly to the collar, so you aren't opening your phone to watch their live footsteps, but it does an absolute flawless job of keeping them right where they belong. The build quality is incredibly rugged and handles Max sprinting through wet grass and mud with ease thanks to the IPX7 waterproofing. I especially appreciate the titanium bolts on the contact points because they don't irritate his neck skin at all like the cheap metal prongs on older collars we tried years ago. The battery life is solid, giving us about 3 days of heavy outdoor use before we need to pop it on its magnetic USB charger. If you have a decent-sized yard and actually take the time to walk the boundary with your dog for the first few days of training, this thing is worth every single penny.

DO NOT BUY! These collars don't work! Bought 2 and they never work. HORRIBLE customer service. I have 6 acres of pasture land with 4 trees, and customer service said it was because I have a tree. The trees aren't even in the perimeter.

I am literally shaking right now writing this, but I HAD to hop on here and decompress because I almost lost my entire mind today. If you know me, you know my golden retriever, Cooper, is literally my whole personality. He is my son, my roommate, my literal soulmate. But today? Today he decided to enter his "explorer era" and almost gave me a literal cardiac arrest. So here’s the tea. We were at the dog park, and I swear I looked down at my phone for two seconds to reply to a text. I look up. Cooper is gone. Just… vanished into thin air. I started calling his name, doing that high-pitched "Cooper-boi!" voice that usually makes him sprint back, but nothing. Crickets. Instantly, the panic set in. I’m talking full-on hyperventilating, tears blurring my vision, absolute worst-case scenarios running through my head. The park opens up to this massive wooded trail, and my mind went straight to him getting stuck, or worse, running toward the main road. I felt so sick to my stomach. But then my brain finally clicked and I remembered: Wait, he has the Pawtronic Pro Series collar on.I whipped out my phone, opened the app, and my hands were shaking so bad I could barely type. But the tracking on this thing? Absolute top-notch. It updated instantly and showed he wasn't even near the main park area anymore ,he had bolted deep into the treeline, like a mile away, chasing after God knows what. Probably a squirrel who insulted his ancestors. The app literally guided me like a human GPS. I wasn't just wandering around aimlessly screaming like a madwoman; I had a direct line to him. After trekking through the brush for about ten minutes (RIP to my clean sneakers, but whatever), the app told me I was right on top of him.I peeked around this massive oak tree, and there he was. This goofy man was completely stuck in a thick briar patch, looking totally bewildered, like, "Oh, hi mom, didn't see you there." I detangled him, scooped him up, and just sobbed into his fur for a solid five minutes while he tried to lick the mascara off my face.I am not exaggerating when I say the Pawtronic Pro Series saved our lives today. If I had a regular basic collar on him, I’d probably still be out there in the dark crying and handing out flyers. The precision on the Pro Series is literally insane. It’s not just a cute accessory, it’s literally insurance for your peace of mind.

Oh my gosh, you will not believe the heart attack I almost had yesterday, and I have to tell you about this Pro Series tracker because it literally saved the day. So, you know how my golden retriever, Gerrard, has zero impulse control and thinks he’s a professional track star? Well, we were out at the big county park the one with the massive wooded trails and the lake and I made the rookie mistake of letting him off the leash for just a second to toss his favorite tennis ball. Of course, a deer bolted out of absolutely nowhere. Before I could even yell his name, Gerrard was just a blonde blur, flying into the thick brush after it. I spent twenty minutes screaming myself hoarse, looking through the trees, and getting completely frantic because he was just gone. Then, thank goodness, my brain finally kicked in and I remembered I had just strapped that new Pro Series tracker onto his collar last week. I whipped out my phone, opened up the app, and I swear a wave of pure relief washed over me. The interface is so incredibly intuitive; it didn’t give me some vague, lagging radius like my old tracker used to. It instantly locked onto his exact coordinates and showed me his live movement in real-time. I could see that he had looped all the way around the ridge and was actually heading down toward the marshy side of the lake, completely oblivious to the fact that he was totally lost. The coolest part was the Pro Series' precision tracking and the proximity radar feature. As I started hiking fast toward the blip on my screen, the app literally guided me step-by-step, telling me exactly how many yards away he was and pointing me in the right direction like a personal compass. When I got into the really dense, foggy part of the woods where the brush was over my head, I used the app to trigger the audible chime on his collar. I heard the beep, crashed through a few bushes, and there he was, thick mud caked up to his chest, looking incredibly proud of himself, and wagging his tail next to a massive puddle. Honestly, I can't recommend this Pro Series enough; it is hands-down the best investment I’ve made all year. The battery life barely even dented after the whole ordeal, and the signal strength was flawless even deep in the woods where my own phone barely had one bar. If you’re still on the fence about getting a tracker for your pup, just do yourself a favor and get this one. It turns what could have been an absolute nightmare into a quick, stress-free rescue mission, and I am never letting Gerrard leave the house without it again!

I do not recommend this product or company. I ordered 2 collars from them and both could not get a strong enough GPS signal to function. I live in a remote area so it wasn't so surprising. What was surprising was the $25 restocking fee they charged me for a product that didn't work as advertised. If you have any doubts about the collar working at your location I would be weary of Pawtronic. The support I received was impersonal and felt scripted. My order was late due to a color I chose being out of stock but I only found this out through me inquiring. The company knew about the shortage but failed to proactively notify me my order being late. Overall just bad business.

I purchased the dog collar GPS system and it unfortunately did not work as described. My problem is trying to get my money refunded. After seven email requests for a refund, 5-6 pictures of the device in its original box, I was finally “allowed” to return it and sent a return label. Now after a month and zero response I still am waiting for my money back. Do not buy this unless you are positive it will work and you will be pleased with the product.

After intense research I was super hopeful this would be the right fence for us. Unfortunately after 2 weeks of waiting on shipment it never shipped despite their promises to EXPEDITE. I had to reach out to customer service multiple times about the delay. They didn't have the items to fulfill my order. That sounds like a scam especially on a nearly $900 order. I finally requested a cancellation of my order and full refund. The Customer service is AWFUL.

Omg so I have to tell you about this Pawtronic GPS fence we got for Buster. Seriously a lifesaver You know how he’s always trying to escape and chase the squirrels next door?? We were literally about to spend thousands on a physical wooden fence. But we tried this instead and it actually works so well. The setup was surprisingly easy, you just map out the boundary on the app. No digging up the yard or dealing with random wires. And the best part is there’s no monthly subscription fee which is amazing because everything else these days charges you a monthly fee....The GPS is super accurate too. He figured out the warning boundary pretty fast (the collar beeps/vibrates first) and now he won’t even try to cross it. He just chills in the yard now and I don't have to constantly look out the window every 2 minutes to make sure he hasn't run off.

Terrible product would not recommend to anyone. Wasted money. Nothing but issues getting it to work in open areas with good signal

I could not get it to connect, customer service did not help, and when I returned it they did not give me my full refund. I cannot recommend paw tronic to anyone.

We were tired of dealing with traditional fences and hidden wires that break constantly. The Pro Series 2 completely solved that problem. Setting up our custom boundary using the app was incredibly easy, and because it uses dual-frequency GPS, the accuracy is fantastic. The collar itself is durable, fully waterproof, and remarkably slim compared to other bulky GPS collars on the market. Best of all? No monthly subscription fees. My dog caught onto the training tones and vibrations within just a couple of days, and now I have complete peace of mind whenever they are out in the yard. The battery life is also stellar, easily lasting us 3 to 4 days on a single charge

It was fairly easy to set up. But that’s where the good stops. The fence would work sometimes. Most of the time my dog could walk right through the boundary without the collar ever beeping. The battery would last 1 day. So, I contacted the company after only having it a week and told them I wanted to return it. Upon returning they still charge you a 25$ restocking fee which is probably the only way that they stay in business. They had the product for 10 days I had to email them to even get them to issue the refund. Save your 25$ and buy something else. Don’t waste your time.

I have received and set up my pawtronic fence. I am still learning to set up the octagon fence but I love that it works great in this heavily wooded area. My only regret is that it only comes with one collar.

Pawtronics GPS Dog Collar – Very Disappointing This collar was completely ineffective for our 90 lb mastiff mix. Even with the shock set to the highest level, it had absolutely no impact—she didn’t react at all. I tested it myself, and a 9-volt battery on the tongue had more kick than this collar. On top of that, the system was slow to respond when our dog crossed the fence line, which defeats the entire purpose of a containment collar. The most frustrating part is the return policy. Pawtronics refused to accept a return because I removed the plastic screen cover when putting it on my dog. They claim that if the unit has been “used in any way,” it cannot be returned—which makes no sense for a product that must be used to evaluate. I’m stuck with an expensive collar that doesn’t work and a company that won’t stand behind its product. I would not recommend this to anyone, especially owners of large dogs. #HonestReview #PetProductReview #BuyerBeware #DoYourResearch #NotRecommended #ConsumerReview #Pawtronics #GPScollar #InvisibleFence #DogContainment

Living in a spot where the GPS signal can be a bit finicky, the Halo kept giving me these "false alerts" that would stress out my dog for no reason, and eventually, I just stopped trusting the tech altogether. But after a week with the Prawtronic Pro Series 2, that constant knot in my stomach is finally gone. The setup was actually intuitive, and the real-time tracking is so pinpoint accurate that I can see exactly which bush he’s sniffing behind. It doesn't feel like a gadget I’m forced to use; it feels like a genuine safety net that understands the layout of my property better than I do. The real reason this blows the Halo out of the water comes down to the reliability of the connection and the build quality. While the Halo felt a bit bulky and struggled with signal dropouts in wooded areas, the Pro Series 2 holds a rock-solid lock on his location without the lag that used to drive me crazy. It’s significantly more rugged, toomy dog is a heavy sleeper and an even heavier jumper, and this unit doesn't have that "fragile plastic" feel. Being able to set up a custom fence that actually respects the boundaries I set, without the collar glitching and correcting him unfairly, has changed our daily routine. I'm finally spending my time enjoying our walks instead of staring at a loading screen on my phone, praying the signal catches up.

I feel the battery life sucks. It does not even last 24 hours before I have to spend hours charging it again. It said the batter life on the webpage was 3-4 days. So not true!

The hardware itself feels much more "pro" than the base model, the titanium bolts are a nice touch because Bear has sensitive skin and used to get hotspots from the cheaper stainless steel prongs on other brands. It’s fully waterproof too, which I can vouch for since he spent half of yesterday afternoon sprinting through the creek at the edge of our property. My only minor gripe is the magnetic charging cord is a bit short, but the battery easily lasts 3–4 days even with him being outside most of the day, so I’m not constantly tethered to a wall outlet. If you have a medium-to-large dog and want to avoid the "subscription trap," this is definitely the sweet spot for tech and value.

If you have a medium to large dog and a decent-sized yard, the Pawtronic Pro Series is probably the smartest investment you can make. It saves you the $2,000 cost of a physical fence and the $200/year cost of a subscription!! one of the best!!!

Pretty solid overall. Setup was straightforward and I like that there’s no monthly fee. Its a new thing to me and my dog so I don't really know how long is it going to last battery and performance vise.
