“I feel that the company are let down by the courier service. There was no communication from them so was unable to track the parcel after it left Petalina.”

Hello Marion, I'm sorry you feel like this. I've been trying to get information about your parcel for over a week now and the problem is that my shippers can't get information from Australia Post regarding small packets. Australia is about the only place that doesn't provide tracking services for packets but at least now they do for parcels over 2kg which is progress. I know it's frustrating as it's just a matter of waiting patiently and it will arrive, but with Christmas now here that isn't always easy! I'm going to follow up and make sure that emails are going out though because all customers should be receiving information - but it only works until the packets reach Australia and then no information is available. Having said all of this, our shippers do a great job of getting very large parcels to Australia in a couple of weeks for very competitive prices, so we do have lots of repeat customers. “I suggest you mention on the website that all categories of delivery are the same price. Apart from that your telephone assistance, advice etc were excellent; despite this being an exceptionally busy time of year (Christmas) i received my order next day having been notified of the time slot it would be delivered. Thank you!”

Hello Erika, thanks for the feedback. Our delivery prices and explanation as to why some things are sent by First Class post (normally 24 hours) or Interlink Express (24 hours) are all laid out in the delivery and returns section of the website. I wonder if you didn't see that? On modern websites this information is placed at the bottom of the home page (as opposed to across the top of the home screen in the main menu) but one has to know to look there so you may have missed it. Anyway, it's great to hear that your order arrived very quickly and when it was supposed to even though we have been incredibly busy this year. Have a lovely Christmas, and thanks again. Cate

Thanks for your review Carol. I understand it is difficult to visualise how large a doll will be when you can't see it. I find it's always useful to get a tape measure and imagine a baby lying along the length of the measurement shown on the website. Also, we do have a good returns service for cases like this if you did decide you wanted to return her for a larger one (although with just over a week to go to Christmas Day there is not a lot of choice left to swop her with unfortunately). “15 years ago an Spanish friend show me in Peru a catalog of Antonio Juan dolls and I fell in love with that delicate dolls. So when I move to the UK I think will be easy to find this dolls, but I was wrong, after many years of research and even in holidays in Spain I couldn't find "the doll" for my daughter. Around 6 months ago I found Petalina and not only I found the little precious doll, I found a secret door to the magic world of dolls and their variety is huge! So I found Hanna from Gotz, to be more exactly a Design Studio a doll that can bring to my daughter and me quality time exploring and sewing with my daughter. Thanks Petalina for a fantastic dolls selection. I can't wait for Christmas to arrive!”

“We know a beautiful little girl who is of dual heritage and we have been struggling to find a baby doll who looks like her, all the dolls in the shops are white with a few black dolls, the doll we purchased is the perfect colour but it would have been nice if she also came in a larger size, anyway our little girl thought she was 'cute'.”

“The doll is exactly the same as the photo on the website. The hair is a very good quality. The only disappointment is that the doll is a bit heavy and children managed to pull of the head easily. Some people said the doll looks odd because of its smile.”

Hello Maryana, thank you very much for your review. She is quite a large doll and is made entirely from vinyl so she is going to be quite heavy compared to fabric dolls. I am really concerned to hear that the children were able to pull her head off. I assume you mean that they can pull it and see the elastic that holds it on? This is normal and how dolls are held together. However, I would really discourage your children from pulling the head because they will strain the elastic and eventually her head will become floppy. If my assumption is wrong and they have actually pulled the doll's head off completely, then please can you get in touch so that we can rectify the situation as this should not happen. It's funny how some people like the smile and some people don't. I think the smile makes the dolls look as if they are having fun but I suppose it's a personal thing. As long as you and your children like the smile, then that is all that matters. Thanks again, Cate
