“The doll is beautiful, but was dissapointed with size for the price”

Hello Karen, thank you for your review. I'm sorry you are disappointed with the size of the doll for the price but it's great to hear you think she is beautiful anyway. Our trade prices have increased by over 30% since before the referendum due to the Euro to Pound exchange rate and this has had to be passed onto our customers. I have been trying to contact you since you posted the original review but without success which is a shame. “Hi Cate, I have not actually received the doll yet but my daughter Claire in London received it promptly and will be bringing it out to me at Xmas to give to my granddaughter / her niece. Claire already has the same doll for her daughter Isabelle and recommended your site to me. Isabelle loves her 'Baby Lucy'! It was still cheaper to buy it that way and pay VAT rather than postage to Australia, and considerably less expensive than sourcing a similar doll in Australia. I had some difficulty with placing the order however because it appeared impossible to to pay with either my Australian credit card or PayPal for delivery to London. Luckily I have deposited a small amount of money in Claire's English account so was able to access that, otherwise I would have needed to ask her to order directly, which would not be so good if for example I or anyone else outside the UK wanted to order a surprise gift for an English granddaughter. You might want to look into that aspect of your site. I look forward to receiving the doll very soon. Best Wishes Jo Featherston”

Hello Jo, sorry you weren't able to place a payment on our website. It is a UK based site and international banks can be a bit wary which is understandable and something over which Petalina has no control. Other international customers are able to pay and have an item delivered in the UK so if you have problems again please let us know so that we can assist you. “Not really sure how to rate it as it is a gift so hasn't been "loved" yet. I would say that considering the high price of the doll I was shocked at the poor packaging. No box or container of any sort just a screwed up rag doll.”

Hi there, thank you very much for your feedback about your rag doll. I've had a look at your order and can see it was a Moulin Roty Adele doll which do arrive rather crumpled and in a plastic bag only, so a bit of time has to be taken to straighten them out. It sounds as if yours wasn't placed in it's little matching bag or wrapped nicely in pink tissue, so we will follow up with the warehouse and make sure they know how to improve the presentation of these dolls. Hi there, sorry to hear that you found your shopping experience with Petalina a little lack lustre. The doll you ordered did have 25cm in her title to highlight that she is small, and in her listing we describe her as 'tiny'. However, we understand that it's not always easy to choose correctly from a website without actually seeing the item so we offer a free and convenient returns service to all our customers and you could have swopped her for something you felt was a better size. Thank you for your feedback in terms of the communication of the delivery. You ordered on Monday evening at 6.50pm, the package was dispatched by first class post on Tuesday (you were sent an email confirming this) and the package should have been delivered on Wednesday morning. However, being First Class Post this isn't guaranteed and there isn't tracking so giving more detailed information isn't feasible. We would like to move to Tracked 24 and 48 which would provide an estimated delivery but the software supporting these services is very problematic so we are avoiding changing over until the offering is improved. So thank you for your feedback. It's always disappointing to read but provides food for thought and helps us improve what we do.
