“Thought I would place my review again seeing as it was previously removed, and to date I am still waiting on the email from the service manager which I was promised.
I bought a car from Peter Vardy Kirkcaldy at the end of September. Since then I have had nothing but problems with the car and Peter Vardy after sales and service team have been at best incompetent. The Peter Vardy promise for buying a used car is clear for everyone to see and none of these were met. When I spoke to the garage I was told it was because i bought the car at the end of the month and the car had to be off the forecourt to be counted in the monthly sales. So basically we don't care if your car is road worthy or not as long as we can count it in our sales figures.
My car has been in the garage 5 times since buying it, with faults and so they could keep their "promise".
A decent garage with competent staff would have fixed all of the faults the first time it went in but this was obviously to much for Peter Vardy.
The last time my car was in the service manager told me I would be "looked after" and they would give me a goodwill offer and I could expect to receive an email the same afternoon.
Surprisingly this never happened, so after waiting 2 weeks then writing to their complaints department and being told the service manager would be in touch with me as soon as possible I waited another 3 weeks and my finance company getting in touch with the garage, I was told by my finance company that I was being offered a free service and MOT.
I called the garage the same day to confirm this and it still hasn't been confirmed because the service manager wasn't in, (always seems to happen when you call someone at this garage).
So my advice would be AVOID AT ALL COSTS.”
“We had a very comfortable experience which was seamless from initial viewing in the showroom,to the final transaction,however,the chips on the doors that were meant to be touched up haven't been and have had no contact as to when this will be possible to happen.
Other than that,very satisfied and I wouldn't hesitate to use again for a third time.”

“Everything was good apart from the service department yesterday 30th July . I returned to get a switch replaced on my turbo, to be told it would take 4hrs, they tried to remove turbo no 2 but the bolts were over tightened and they would have to remove the manifold to put turbo number three. There was nothing wrong with turbo number 2 apart from the switch. I have rebuilt engines before and am not happy at all. I am at the stage of contacting my lender on my what to do. Plus the courtesy car was the most uncomfortable car I have ever drove in my back is in tatters . I have mates that were interested in purchasing cars from you. But might go else where after I tell them about the service I received from the service department. Thanks”

“Bought a 10month old car ,wasn't happy with scuffed alloys ,was told they'd all be rubbed back and resprayed ,however on my return the alloys hadn't even been taken of the car and appear to have just been sprayed over to hide scuffs! Also overspray all over brake discs and drums.complained again ,to be told they would powder coated
and do them properly ,as they should of been first time round ,they also told me the alloys were previously a different colour ! Not that that was mentioned prior to buying it! Anyway after several trips my alloys finally got powder coated however the overspray on drums caused when the garage did a cover up job remained! Oh and a fiver of petrol put in the tank for my inconvenience!First and last time I buy from vardy”
