Because they are the worse sip out there they lie and don't help, you won't get a refund for having down time that's if you even get on the internet in the first place, your have nothing but trouble with PLUSNET they are robbers...

once you sign up they have you their customer service is sh1t you get pasted from pillar to post spend hours on the phone the one they dont pick up for 20 mins ,if you want to cancell it will take hours to get put through to cancellations i was on the phone from 10am till 7pm inc doing their live chat [when working ] i paid a month in advance then when i said i was going to cancel they took the next months 4 days early , their parent company is BT line speed for WIFI = 0.2 /0.4 mbs THIS COMPANY JUST WANTS YOUR MONEY WE WENT TO SKY AND GOT A BETTER SERVE BETTER LINE SPEEDS no dropping out no buffering dont go with Plusnet they do you proud in crap they just do you they sent me a bill for £27.50 with threats that my credit rating will be destroyed if i dont pay them their scam money ,i have to pay because of my first class credit rating but am now dedicated to writing them up every chance i get !

It was such an unfortunate time when I switched my home phone and broadband from EE to Plusnet. They were supposed to activate my service on 30th October 2017 without any interception but I was left without phone and broadband for 24 hours and after calling plusnet so many times my home phone and broadband was eventually became alive. Plusnet live chat is not helpful at all and when you phone them you will have to hold 45 minutes each time. Anyway, I am without broadband since it has been activated a month ago. Nor did I receive any response to my written complaint about the problem.
