About Probikekit :

Probikekit started 11 years ago by selling pro cycling team kit online from a barn, nobody else seemed to do team kits back then, and very few people had heard of the Internet. Now we sell some of the best cycle clothing, equipment and components in the world. Our global reach and sales volumes means we work with the best brands in the industry including Shimano, Campagnolo, Craft, Castelli, Michelin and Sidi. We are able to secure the hottest new products at unbeatable prices, ahead of the competition and we have outgrown that barn 10 times over.

I have just contacted ProBikeKit (by email) as I think All Canadian and American Customers should KNOW (!) that they will have to pay a HEFTY FEE as their Customs Duty fee on their purchases as this site is located in the United Kingdom (England, or Whales, or Scotland or Northern Ireland), so you will HAVE TO PAY sometimes as much as 25% to 30% of your purchase price. Just so that you know, ProBikeKit.ca is NOT a Canadian site, they are shipping everything from the UK and so you will be charged a TON of money by Canada Customs when you will receive your purchase from probikekit.ca —— Anyway, this is what I wrote them: "Actually I've received my item, but I feel you guys are CHEATING each and every Customer of yours. You see, my intension of buying from your site was your price (!) and when I received them, I had to pay over $25 as a custom's duty fee. That is more than 25% (TWENTY FIVE PERCENT) on my purchase price!!! Please indicate on your web site that anyone OUTSIDE the UK or Europe will pay a TON of money as their customs duty fees... otherwise you are basically LURING ALL your Customers to purchase from you, not suspecting that they will pay a LARGE PORTION of their PURCHASE in Customs Duty Fees in Canada or in the United States. I might have to post a few dozen reviews about this as I am feeling I've been cheated on (!!!) by you guys (so as to make other Canadians and Americans aware of your practice or the lack thereof), and because this is just NOT FAIR!" Every time I receive their NewsLetter, my entire body cringes in discomfort and disbelief, I find this web site so tactless!

I would give it zero stars if I could. This UK business somehow operates a .ca domain, which by law means they must be a Canadian entity to get the domain. Even shopping on a Canadian domain, they require you to notice that you must still change from USD. If you don't you will be billed 35% more on exchange. Then they say 2 day shipping, which is not true, again misleading it took 10 days. Finally, because this .ca store is shipping from UK I was charged clearance fees, duty and tax before it left the UK, another 25% surcharge. Terrible, and their customer service was slow and not helpful. They are misleading Canadians.

Caveat Emptor Do not use this company!!! Worst online shopping experience ever!!! Very difficult to contact via infuriating message service! Disingenuous staff/ generic avoidant responses! Deceptively UK based! Delivery times are a joke! Checked online reviews after negative experience - seems I got off lightly - consensus of poor service / impossible to contact / delivery problems, etc is 100% backed up by my experience. I can only hope people read these reviews + avoid this company at all costs _ would love to see the smug morons go out of business!!!

They use a .ca domain but are shipping from UK. This is misleading and leads to a 40% customs clearance charge on the order. At that price, I could've went to a local bike shop and bought the same items for WAY cheaper. I wish I could make this review 0 star Do not use this site if you are Canadian. You'll regret it! Also as a e-commerce developer, I must add that this is a very bad business practice and, although not illegal, it should be! Shame on you Probikekit.ca

I won’t ever use this company again. I ordered a continental 5000 tyre delivery said 3 days. 1 month later I am still waiting. Just received an email saying that they expect delivery some time in November!!!!!! Now I have the chore of trying to get my money back.

I ordered a jacket which was clearly too small when received. The sizing is ridiculous so be careful. But more than that, this company appears to be based in New Zealand so I thought I was buying from a NZ company. They are not. They have a .co.nz website but the products come from the UK. I had to return the jacket and buy a new one. I returned the jacket early December - at my cost due to their very poor communication. They claimed they would have picked it up but their customer service team clearly stated returns were My Responsibility. So it cost me 384 for the first jacket, $90 for the return - because it went to the UK and i had to have it couriered which was part of their return requirements, then it cost another $344 for the second jacket. So essentially I have one jacket which has now cost me $818. They have been claiming they will refund the first jacket for over a month now. But they have not. I don’t care how good they claim their products are, they are not honest. The only guarantee you have is that you will get a decent product, IF..and only IF..... you get what you ordered and as expected. Otherwise, they are impossible to deal with and actually appear to lie. They have told me twice that they have put the money back onto my credit card and to wait 5 days. I have now waited 4 weeks.....Very poor....be careful if you are dealing with this company. I am sure there must be better companies with products that are just as good out there.

Website lies with regards to delivery times. 3-6 days is the stated delivery time and when this passed with non support said actually the delivery takes up to 30 days.

The refunds process is painful. I returned a light that broke and they are saying that it will be 14 days until they can even look at the product and confirm that I will get a refund. This means that I can't even buy a replacement! Steer well clear.
