Our trip with Quasar was absolutely wonderful!! It couldn't have been better. We loved our time on The Evolution. The ship was luxurious, clean and spacious, the guides fun and knowledgeable, the sites and wildlife were incredible, the food and drinks delicious, the staff of the ship nice, courteous and helpful and the rest of the guests aboard became friends! We couldn't ask for anything more. I'd love to do the same trip all over again! Quasar was also great throughout the booking process and in planning/booking our excursions before to Quito and Otavalo and transfers to the airport after the cruise. Every detail was thought out and carried out to perfection. Thanks a lot for an amazing adventure!

I had the most amazing time in the Galapagos Island and loved every minute on and off our Quasar ship. The transfers from and to the airport were seamless, the crew was extremely friendly and professional, the service was excellent, the food was very good and the cabins were comfortable, modern and very clean. I learned so much form their very knowledgable naturalist guides. This trip has not just giving me a much better understanding of the fragile eco-system of the Galapagos Islands but also of our entire planet. It was a life-changing experience and hope I will be back soon to explore more islands.

Loved our experience with Quasar! Our time in the Galapagos aboard the Evolution was nothing short of magical! It went beyond our expectations. The itinerary included so many islands and different habitats every day with options for every level of activity. The guides were so knowledgeable, thoughtful and attended to our every need. This was especially impressive as there were so many uncertainties associated with travel during the pandemic, but we felt safe and cared for in every regard. We will surely travel with Quasar again!

We had an amazing 2 weeks aboard the M/Y Grace in April 2021. We were so well cared for by the staff....and thoroughly spoiled! We did 3-4 activities each day, snorkeling at least once (in a real life aquarium), sea kayaking, hiking and Zodiac rides..... By the time we returned back to the ship after a full day, getting briefed on the next day's activities and eating an amazing dinner in the outdoor covered dining area, we were all ready to get some rest before the next day's active agenda. The ship is beautiful, and it's history makes it very special. There were special moments, including when our Captain turned the ship around so we could pick up a large pod of dolphins again to ride the waves at the bow of the ship.

I thoroughly enjoyed working with Quasar. Due to the pandemic, the trip I had booked for my daughter and I had to rebooked multiple times. Quasar was very helpful during that time. We eventually selected early April for our expedition. The information and guidance we received in preparation for the trip was exceptional. This included guidance on accommodations on the mainland and the prearrangement of transportation and as well as of testing. I always felt that I was in safe hands, even in the midst of a worldwide pandemic. On refection, I would say that this was the best organized and supported expedition I have ever been on.

Let me first start out by saying that even though I’ve been to many places, this was my first time traveling alone. I think it’s important to mention this because even though I traveled alone, I never felt like I was by myself on this trip. From the moment I arrived in Quito, I was picked up at the airport by my private tour guide and taken to my boutique hotel, La Casona Da La Ronda. I spent the first two days exploring the historic town of Quito with my private guide. Quito is such a beautiful town full of sights, sounds, and amazing foods. I could hear the passion from my tour guide, as she mentioned fact after fact about every step we took in Quito.

As part of our honeymoon we boarded M/Y Grace for a week to sail around the Galapagos Islands. Everything was absolutely fantastic and faultless - the staff were all very attentive and helpful, the guides were enthusiastic and knowledgable, the food was what you'd expect from a 5 star hotel, the presentation, quality, and flavour was amazing. The cabin was cosy and there was housekeeping about 2 or 3 times a day, our room was always spotless. The booking process was good and they send you lots of information on what to expect and what to pack etc, it was very helpful. I would wholeheaetedly recommend the Grace to anyone who wants an unfoegettable experience.

We had a fantastic trip. Many thanks to Paul and Diane for answering all of our questions before our trip. To the crew, staff and guides - we will treasure all the wonderful memories. Thank you for making our adventure outstanding and one of the best vacations we have ever taken. All the arrangements went smoothly and without any issues.

Amazing trip of a life time!!! We have a daughter with severe anaphylaxis to dairy, nuts, and peanuts. The crew on the Evolution served us safe and delicious foods and even stocked the ship with dairy free snacks! Only complaint is that we were unable to take home a blue footed boobie. I think if we could just taken home the baby sea lion with whom we swam, it would have been a perfect trip :)

We had the most wonderful Galapagos Island cruise aboard Quasar's M/Y Grace. The yacht is itself a truly graceful vessel and we enjoyed a cabin on "A" deck. The crew were amazing, always able and willing to help with a smile. The food served aboard the yacht was also excellent, with a wide variety always on offer. Above all, however, were the shore excursions with the naturalist guides. We will never forget the individual islands with their amazing scenery, flora and fauna. It was a magical experience from start to finish. We will certainly be recommending Quasar Expeditions to our friends.

My partner and I recently sailed the Western Galapagos Islands on Quasar Expedition's M/V Evolution and we were simply blown away by the whole experience - from booking to cruising! Like most people, we were somewhat nervous about plunking down a significant sum of money without really knowing what to expect. Outstanding reviews about the company and the boat certainly helped but having an opportunity to actually speak to Diane and Paul, the company's US based managers, and clarify our many questions about everything from flights to daily itinerary was a huge factor in our choosing the company. Any company that works with potential clients, like Paul and Diane did, had to be great, right? Not necessarily, you may be thinking. But, Quasar Ex really is exceptional and the proof of that really was our onboard experience. We had an amazing time on the Evolution. The guides that led our group - Roberto and Hernan - were outstanding and easily lived up to our rather high standards (both my partner and I are scientists). We thoroughly enjoyed our days, jam-packed as they were with snorkelling, swimming, and hiking. My partner refers to the cruise as one amazing science field trip. Cruise connotes lounging by the pool. This ain't that kind of a cruise! Sure, individuals were welcome to skip any of the activities and relax/nap out the comfy couches in the open, breezy lounge on the top deck or in the hot tub - and yes, we did all that too but we made it a point to be in on all the activities. Who would have wanted to miss an opportunity to swim with the incredibly curious sea lion pups, penguins, octopi, turtles and giant rays, or watch blue-footed boobies catch their prey underwater, or be blown away by the unearthly landscape of Sullivan Bay lava field? The crew of M/V Evolution - from the captain to the cruise director to the onboard doctor to the panga drivers were all focused on one goal...to make this the trip of a lifetime for us. And this extended beyond the activities to include the onboard food and general cleanliness of the passenger quarters and the boat as a whole. I have to admit that I was particularly concerned about these two. I worried pointlessly. Our rooms were cleaned several times a day and the food onboard was excellent. Yes, expect a fair amount of seafood but if you have special requests (like my partner did), the crew/company will go out of its way to meet them. They actually anticipate the passengers' needs and had juices and snacks ready at precisely the right times. And what was even more impressive is that Steve, our cruise director, actually had memorized each persons needs (dietary or otherwise) and would alert/direct the passengers even before anyone needed to asked. I learnt that once when they had a person onboard with nut allergies, the whole boat was scrubbed down and there was not a nut to be found the entire week. We were very fortunate to have a remarkable group of people sailing with us. And we are very fortunate to have the opportunity to make their acquaintances. As good as the trip was, having outstanding company to share the experiences with just makes it all the more special. After reading the above, I can imagine many of you saying, "yeah, sure...but nothing can be perfect. There must have been something that wasn't quite spot on." And indeed there was. Bring a sweater or some cover-up to breakfast, lunch and dinner. With the air conditioners blasting cold air, we were chilled. In our own rooms, we had the option of turning the heat up but in the dining room, it took a bit of cajoling to do the same. Actually, many of us would have preferred to eat most of our meals (instead of just a couple) in the outdoor dining area - it was lovely out there in early March (2017) when we sailed. And, be prepared to be disconnected from your internet umbilical cord. The boat has no internet service. This, we thought was a great idea. But on the two days that the boat sailed close to the inhabited islands and it was possible to pick up cell signal, we would all have appreciated a couple of hours of wifi to be able to send quick messages to loved ones to let them know just how much we were enjoying ourselves, and confirm that they too were okay. Sure, the above complaints may seem petty and trivial but that just goes to show how wonderful a time we had onboard that we have dig deep down to find faults.
