“We had a genuinely terrific time. The Galapagos is an unworldly place whose beauty is truly raw. Few places offer such serene peacefulness in an environment that remains, for the most part, unadulterated by mankind. New and old life surrounds one on every island as does the brutality of survival. My family and I would spend every evening contemplating what we had experienced during the day as we appreciated our wonderful accommodations and the worldly people we met. That said, we were impressed by the age range of the passengers which allowed for various degrees of activities depending on one's abilities and desires. The Grace is beautiful and well maintained, and the staff is truly friendly and efficient. The food is plentiful and tasty. The itinerary is very well planned and gives a wonderful overview of the islands and wildlife, both on land and in the water. I also highly recommend working with Quasar. Diane did a great job organizing the trip for us, including setting up our stay in Quito and Hacienda Zuleta (which is a stunning "farm" in the Andes). My family and I look forward to taking future trips with Quasar.”

“Visiting the Galapagos with Quasar was a wonderful experience. The friendly capable crew met all of our needs. The expert naturalists made sure that everyone who wanted to experienced the wonder of the Galapagos and its animals. I would go back and do it all again in a heartbeat.”

“My wife and I spent a wonderful week on the M/V Evolution in May 2018. The ship had been recently renovated and it looked great. The room was beautiful and spacious. The bathroom was good sized as well. The common spaces (particularly the upstairs bar/lounge area) were big and very comfortable. There was plenty of space for all 32 passengers. The food was delicious and the staff took great pains to accommodate everyone's needs. Speaking of the staff they were superb. Great personalities and very attentive. The guides were extremely knowledgeable. The itinerary was fantastic, in particular the snorkeling. The only negative, and it obviously didn't stop us from giving this 5 stars, was that our room (C7) had a funky smell coming from the shower drain after 2-3 days at sea. After about 20 minutes in the room you didn't notice it so it wasn't real strong, but we could tell when we first walked in. I'm told that other passengers haven't complained since so they must have fixed it. The location and layout of C7 was great though. We never heard the anchor being dropped early in the AM and we didn't feel the swells that much. I'd recommend the room and certainly Quasar and the Evolution!”

“We had a wonderful time! Diane, Paul, and all the other Quasar folks we dealt with couldn't have been better. The hotels, tours, and absolutely everything were just great. Even the animals on the islands were very co-operative with posing for pictures.”

“Just returned from our Galapagos adventure on Quasar’s Evolution. The accommodations, food, crew and guides were all wonderful and made every effort to insure every guest was able to experience the wonders of the Galapagos. Our guides were raised in the islands and their enthusiasm, knowledge and pride was obvious.”

“Everything about this trip could not have been better. Excellent staff. Fascinating walks on the islands. Good snorkeling. Very comfortable ship. I was just delighted with the entire week as was my 12 year old granddaughter. Gerd grace”

“I just went on the Evolution with two great guides, Roberto and Sammy. It's a very special place. Hard to believe the gorgeous photos one sees in coffee-table books or on-line are really what you see when you are there. The boat is beautiful, comfortable and all staff provided excellent service. Really fun to swim with sea lions, penquins, turtles, sharks, rays and inumerable fish. Hope I win the free trip so I can return soon!”

“Our trip on the Grace exceeded all our expectations and was the trip of a lifetime. The crew were all wonderful and provided outstanding service. Daily briefings helped us prepare for each day’s adventures. I’ve never been so anxious to get up early, but as it often meant getting in outstanding snorkeling before breakfast, everyone was ready to go. I haven’t stopped talking about the trip and heartily recommend cruising with Quasar. Thank you for helping me check off the number one item on my bucket list.”

“The Evolution is a great size ship to tour the Galapagos. The cabin, food, snorkeling gear and crew were all in A1 shape. The naturalists, Christina and Walter were very knowledgeable about the islands, history and the animals. They made sure everyone got to see the amazing animals. So enjoyed snorkeling with the fish, sea lions, sea turtles, and even the sharks. I would encourage anyone to experience this awesome vacation.”

“We did extensive research before deciding on the ship Evolution for our Galapagos cruise. Since it is owned by Quasar Expeditions we contacted them to plan our trip. Diane and Paul (in the US office) were extremely helpful and personable in planning our itinerary. We booked our own flights to Quito but once we arrived we were in the capable hands of our Quito guide and driver, Gustavo. He was knowledgeable, interesting, always prompt and very cordial. Diane had recommended Hacienda La Jimenita for our pre-Galapagos stay of three nights and we couldn't have been more pleased. It was a lovely property with a most welcoming owner, Daniel, and a wonderful, warm staff. We stayed there one night also post-Galapagos and felt like we were returning home. Our seven day cruise on the Evolution was great. The staff was outstanding, cabin very nice, food delicious, and plenty of activities with two excellent naturalist guides. From start to finish this was an exceptional trip and we highly rate Quasar Expeditions and would certainly travel with them again.”

“Our recent trip to the Galapagos aboard the Evolution far exceeded our expectations. From the initial contact to the final leg of transportation home the staff of Quasar executed flawlessly. The Galapagos Islands are a very special place. Traveling the 450 nautical miles aboard the ship is definitely the best way to see as much wildlife and scenery as possible. The naturalists are very knowledgeable and their love and pride of their homeland was evident throughout the trip. The crew attended to every detail and went above and beyond in every aspect. It was definitely the trip of a lifetime and a must do if you have ever had even the slightest interest in exploring this part of our world. Thank you Quasar!”

“Quasar Expeditions' trip to Patagonia was excellent. The lodge/hotel accommodations were superior, and the food was on par with a deluxe restaurant in any large city. Driving the Jeeps on paved and unpaved roads was an adventure not to be experienced elsewhere. The panoramas of glaciers, mountains, and the lakes gave this photographer lots of great photos. The flora and fauna were interesting - I've never seen so many guanacos or flamingos. We had guides to point out the highlights, but I'd be glad to try self-driving because of all the information provided in the Jeep on iPads. One flat tire was easily replaced, and having a satellite phone for emergencies was a comfort in case there were situations one could not handle. Luckily, there were none. I had such a good time that I wasn't ready to come home!”

“Amazing trip and great experience at Galapagos. All was pretty good and at the end of the day it was much over our expectation. Just small things could be better (for ex. We have tried to book a scubadive during the trip, but had no answer back), but nothing really important. Congratz Quasar Expedition.”

“I cannot praise Quasar enough for making our trip to the Galapagos as perfect as could be. Everything about the experience was five-stars, from first email contact through the last goodbyes at the airport. Before the trip we experienced the best in customer service and thoughtful planning, preparing us for every step of the process. Once on the trip, the naturalists were extremely knowledgeable and experienced; the crew was professional, friendly and gracious. As vegans we were feted with specially prepared dishes at every meal, an extra effort we could not have anticipated and impressed us deeply. It was the trip of a lifetime.”

“Our week in the Galápagos on the Grace was an especially great trip because of the seamless support and professionalism of the ships guides and crew. The small yacht experience gave us maximum flexibility when hiking, snorkeling, or taking advantage of an unexpected creature sighting. The boat was comfortable...especially the outdoor spaces, and food, equipment, and guides were top notch. Our pre trip contact with the Quasar office was also very quick and efficient.”

“Quasar Expeditions is a fantastic company that really knows how to showcase and explore the Galapagos islands. The boats are small yet comfortable. The crew and guides provide the best island (read: animal viewing) tours and because of the boat size the places for snorkeling opportunities could not be better. Whether it was playing with sea lions underwater or swimming near penguins or watching courtship rituals with blue- green-and red-footed boobies (and so much more), Quasar Expeditions did it all. Do yourself a favor and go with the best! You'll be glad you did.”
