Appalling service. Unresponsive arrogant uninterested. Bad quality, bad delivery, unreliable, you get what you pay for. Better going elsewhere.

Broken tank, terrible packaging, slow replies, and far too much hassle Really disappointing experience with Swell UK, and honestly I would warn people to think carefully before ordering from them, especially if it is something fragile. The aquarium I ordered arrived damaged, with the bottom glass cracked across the base. It was completely unusable from the moment it arrived. I also noticed the delivery driver handling the parcel roughly when bringing it in, so that definitely did not help. The packaging was also shockingly poor. The tank was protected with paper only, which is obviously nowhere near enough for a fragile glass aquarium. I honestly could not believe that an item like this had been sent out with so little proper protection. It just showed a lack of care from the start. After I reported the damage and sent photos, the whole process became exhausting. Communication was awful. Replies often took 2 or 3 days, and many of the emails came late in the evening. That might not sound like much, but when you are trying to sort out a damaged item and get your money back, it makes everything feel dragged out and unnecessarily stressful. The return process was badly handled too. A courier collection was arranged, I stayed home waiting all day, and nobody came. No proper explanation, no update, nothing useful. Then later I ended up having to take the parcel to a drop-off point myself. One place refused it because it was too large, then at another place I was told I needed to print the label. I do not own a printer, so I had to pay to print it elsewhere as well. So in the end, I was left dealing with a damaged aquarium, poor communication, a failed collection, extra running around, printing costs, and a lot of unnecessary stress. Yes, I eventually got my refund, but the amount of hassle involved was ridiculous. To make matters worse for Swell UK, I later bought the same aquarium from Complete Aquatics and it arrived quickly and was incredibly well packed and protected inside, exactly how it should have been done in the first place. I was actually hopeful that Swell UK might be a shop I could use again in the future, but after this experience I definitely never will. Very poor service and not one I would recommend.

Had an order recently worth £180 and the items never left the warehouse as far as I’m aware. It’s been 3+ weeks now and still no response from them. Shocking

I am extremely disappointed with Swell Uk I have shopped with them many times and everything went well Until one day I had to return the product to them because it didn't fit. And what do you think, absolutely nothing happens with the return... My return is lost somewhere, they are not handling anything I have not received any confirmation letter, I have not received a refund The courier service shows that my return has reached them However, the Swell Uk company is not taking any further action I have contacted their help desk but still nothing is happening with my refund It's been a long time...that's irresponsibility and negligence This is how customers are treated, how pathetic the service They can't handle even a simple return, or just don't want to refund. I have no words, this is a mockery of customers I will not be shopping with this company again Be careful, I do not recommend this company

Bought a 54ltr fish tank 2 weeks ago. After 3 days the glass cracked resulting in my lounge carpet being ruined, and all my fish dying. Swell refuse to refund my payment or pay compensation, even though their product was substandard. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY

Unable to contact after purchasing a vivarium which the stand is to small . Phoned no reply. Emailed several times with photos no reply again .. very shoddy service

NEVER again. Abysmal customer service. Ordered a set of test kits I was in desperate need of, called for a price match, was charged for postage but not told what service they were using. It was sent out late, which shock, they acknowledge, but then put on a slow service without my knowledge! Four days later I'm still waiting and they're not even able to track the whereabouts of my order, I could have gone to late night opening at my LFS tonight and picked up the same item for the same price. Zero lack of urgency from their team, shocked at how poor they have gone unless I've just been really lucky up until now.
