Accepting money for invalid device Row "covered" me for a phone which was purchased in 2019 from which the IMEI number shows when the phone was purchased. After requesting a claim to repair the phone's screen I was declined as the insurance was "not valid" due to the age of the phone. I fully expect the policy to be refunded due to there being no risk of costs incurred by Row insurance given they were never going to undertake a claim on the phone at any point during the 12 months. If these details were not requested and checked when undertaking the policy, this seems a very underhanded method for row to take money on invalid devices from which they would hope not to have to see a claim put in. Thus making money from an invalid device they would never cover. My policy number is ROW6542858

All the positive comments are ok but just wait until they have to claim. I was told that my washing machine insurance was invalid as over six years old when i needed it repaired yet when i renewed my policy it was stated in the email that i had to let them know if it was eight years or older! I asked for money back but was told that because i had made a claim it was not possible to pay anything back. I made a claim which was not allowed so how do they explain that one. My advice is pay more and use another company.

Taken out a mobile phone policy, when it came to make a claim, the hassle.the forms the documents they want are bad enough but to then find out the excess you need to pay is only £15 less than the whole cost of the repair !!! Whats the point in getting insurance cover with Row ..

Worst customer service, wrong information, why is it insured at first when you says we can’t fill your claim?? This means this company is wrong.

Warning, warning, warning! If you are thinking of insuring your appliance with Row please stop. I think most of these reviews are about the application process which was easy enough because they want your money. I insured three appliances with Row in June 2020; a range cooker, an integrated fridge freezer and an integrated dishwasher. I pay just under £20 a month.   My cooker developed a fault in January and I contacted Row to arrange for the fault to be fixed, I then received an email which stated that I would be charged an insurance excess of £125 PLUS I would have to pay the remaining monthly payments to take me from January to the following June This took the total to over £180!   I have spoken with another company who have told me that the manufacturer of my oven would charge £125 to come out and repair my oven.   I am unhappy that I have been paying £20 a month for Row to do nothing more than to contact an engineer on my behalf. I believe that I have been paying £20 for a service which is completely unneeded and unnecessary. I am quite capable of calling an engineer from the manufacturer and arranging for the oven to be fixed.   When I took out the insurance I was under the impression that my appliances were insured and protected against fault or damage and my premiums were put towards the maintenance. I have no idea what they use my £20 a month for. PLEASE USE ANOTHER COMPANY

Try to submit a claim, and find out covered items were invalid for cover, but they charged for the policy regardless. Claims staff not very helpful. No apology. Would never recommend- wasted sixteen months of money!

The Claims process is really bad if you have a week to get all the information the require you might get seen too. last usage start and finish 3 months bills utility bills proof of purchase. I will be sticking to my mobile provider from now on for insurance simple to use they just send you a return box and its done. it may cost a little extra but at least you can mange the claims procedure and get your item back nice and quick.

Terrible company. Paid monthly for 2 years, tried to make a claim and they wanted a further £130 to arrange a engineer, what is point in having cover? Avoid this company at all costs.

We have been paying to insure our phones/tablets for the last six months only to find out they are not actually insured because they are more than 12 months old. This information is hidden in the fine print and it should have been made very clear to customers upfront. Thanks for not giving me a refund you are an awful company!

Never use this company ...Impossible to contact on the phone, I twice sent a message asking this company to send me a copy of my t&c's and charges after I was transfered to this company by my energy supplier, I never recieved anything. They have increased my payments without notififcation. I have now asked my Bank to cancel my direct debt as they never answer the phones. Paul C..

Be very careful with the terms and conditions. You can not make a claim before 14 days, if you do it will be rejected and you won't get a refund(not even a partial refund) if you decide to cancel your policy. You lose your money for nothing!

Do not go with them. They have too many hidden charges which you are not made aware of when joining them. I was not told about excess fees and more fees on top if you make a claim in the first 3 months. They then said they could cancel my policy WITHOUT a refund, even though it's been under a month and they did nothing about my claim! There is no transparency, they are utter cheats!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!

Deceiving company they are. Avoid them at all cost. Everything goes smoothly when you singing your with them and while they are taking your money they all are good. When it come to claim they will refer you to their terms and conditions.

This is with regard to their home emergency team. Alan was initially good but he forwarded me on to claims team who’s had no clue how they would handle leak detection in property if your boiler was losing pressure. I constantly received conflicting statements of it depends on what the engineer says (£95+vat) but we wouldn’t cover the leak detection. Very poor not happy will not renew
