“The worst company do deal with when it comes to customer service. I have talked to a dozen people in this organization to find out about getting a payoff amount from the date of my accident, some say they can't do it at all, some say they will send me a link to obtain it, which they send but doesn't work, some say they will have it sent over by end of day. Three weeks later, still do not have it. Insurance company totaled out the van, sent a check to Santander, they said they never received it, called my insurance company and told them they had to go through a portal, then denied that they told the insurance company to do it that way. Insurance company figured out how to submit it via the portal, did so, and payment still has not posted. I called and Santander said it would be 5-7 days to post. I called again on day 5, they said it should be posted by COB that day. I called again the next day because it still had not posted and was told that it would be another 5-7 days. No worries to them as they keep collecting the daily interest that is accrued every day that this is not paid off. Two months and still trying to get this resolved. Needless to say I will NEVER use them again. I would give them ZERO stars if it was possible.”
“I’ve been with this bank for more years than I can remember. Recently I tried to pay off a family debt and it was flagged up as fraud. I cancelled the payment and was told Santander will look into the fraudulent account I was trying to send money to. They froze all my accounts, including online access. 6 days later I’m still waiting for access to my account!! MINE!! Not theirs!! The staff keep repeating the same thing… theirs nowhere to go as they’ve closed the kiosks… it’s infuriating as I have to phone them to do transfers etc. they force everyone to do online banking and ask us to be kind to their staff.. but they treat their clients like dirt! I’ve told them I’m changing banks but they really don’t care! The worse customer service ever!!”

“I have tried to call customer service for two after being in the phone que for 10 minutes waiting for a live person they take my account information and mysteriously I AM Disconnected!!! Absolutely the worst customer service call center !!! CEO needs to start firing managers that are not reporting calls being hung up on!!!”
“This new app is absolutely useless. I thought it was my phone that was the problem but having read other reviews it's obviously the app. Why they had to update to this rubbish is beyond me. Bring back the old app.”
“I uninstalled the new app as it kept freezing on the initial page for minutes on end. Installed the app again. Now I need to reload my ID and face picture when it should be on record under my log in details when I first installed the app. Trying to take an acceptable picture of my ID seems impossible, as it's blurred or not in frame or not possible to read.
A waste of time and effort. I'll do online banking from now on, until they ruin that.”
“Since new app became operational I have had considerable problems with accessing and completing transactions on my android tablet.Slow log on,repeated log requirements,transactions incomplete, no confidence,NEVER had any issues with old app,getting to stage of closing account and going elsewhere.”

“We have had accounts with AbbeyNatioal / Santander for over 40years . We currently live in South Africa and have told the bank we do not have a reliable postal service. We have now discovered to our horror they are in the process of closing all accounts because they sent letters in February which we've received on 31st May . We have now been told the accounts are being closed because we did not respond. We are totally stranded now without funds to pay our bills and everyday living expenses. We have appealed to them to help to no avail. We have a substantial amount of money with them and are very concerned that they say they are going to send a cheque despite telling them time again We do not have a postal system which is the cause of this awful situation in the first place . Amy help would be appreciated.”
