“Extremely costly compared to competitors, taking weekly payments rather than monthly so you have to ensure you put aside the money each week to pay them back. Tries to intimidate you when offering to repay early by saying they will send a letter when I clearly said I don't want any correspondence by post, supposedly for FCA requirements (other lenders you can pay online/over the phone no problem). Repayments are very much front loaded so even if you can repay early you've paid most of the interest in your early payments. Bad company, not helpful and no online account management (Was informed it is in its early stages and will send invitations to random customers in the future).”

“Satsuma Loans have still not responded to my FOS adjudicator after they made a decision on 30/04/20 and gave Satsuma until 14/05/20 to respond. I have attempted to contact Satsuma via email to follow this up but now they are ignoring all emails...seems what is said about them is true when dealing with complaints.”

“Applied for loan online in Saturday sent documents Monday and still nothing other reviews on here say same day payout can't be real,needed money quick but its nearly payday so won't need .I've sent numerous emails asking updates and nothing”

“Quick and simple application. Terms and conditions easy to find and explained in simple to understand jargon. Staff if you need to call are friendly, courteous and very helpful. They try their hardest to resolve the problem. The negative, and whilst I know no one forces you to use them, is the very high interest rates. Those who use your services are often those in dire financial need who are turned down by banks and other lower cost lenders. All that happens is you find yourself even deeper in debt and the cycle becomes ever more vicious. The poorest get poorer while the richest get richer!”

“After filling in the details of how long I wanted the loan for and it was accepted. They sent through the loan details adding a extra 3 months. I paid the loan within 5 weeks like I wanted to do but because there calculater had changed to 6 months I had to pay £170 in Interest. Which is shocking. Becareful when you fil the form in”

“Applied for a loan and was accepted at 10 to 9 in the morning, still no money in my account. Says it takes an hour it’s been almost 4. No one to contact because all offices are closed. Why advertise yourself as being able to payout 24/7 if that’s not the case. You apply for the money when you NEED the money not to sit there waiting around! Disgusting”

“I am idsgusted with the way you get people who are already in debt into more and more debt, you say you are a responsible lender, I do not think so, I keep getting my son out of debt but your company thinks its ok to keep giving him more loans at an extortionate interest rate. The Government should put a stop to companies like yours. If you checked peoples credit files you would see that someone who gets loans every month and uses various loan companies is not a responsible person who can control their own money.”

“Interest rates are ridiculously HIGH. With Satsuma, You will ALWAYS pay double the amount you have orginally borrowed. Don't get me wrong Satsuma are flexible, trustworthy and fair. But if there was one thing for them to change, It has be bringing their interest rates dow . Even if it was individually charging customers different rates based on their status - That will do. Honestly!”

“Hi, I think charging interest from the outset is wrong. Interest should be charged on a daily basis and not at the beginning of the loan. Also interest is way too high. For borrowing £1000 loan I have to pay back £900 on interest- almost double the loan- that is so wrong and taking advantage of the vulnerable and people who desperately need the loan for whatever reason.”
