Phoned me during Lockdown and offered me a payment holiday, then went and mark it as bad credit score on my credit file. Why would they do that? They were the ones that phone me and offered a payment holiday, I didnt originally ask for it. Very under handed and considering the circumstance that we have all be in during lockdown, their sneaky way's are really upsetting, and I have a feeling I am not the only one they have done this to. Just shows what an un-caring, self centred business they are, they dont care about there customers if they can phone you and offer you a payment holiday during such a difficult time, then proceed to mark it on your credit score as a late payment making out that your a bad payer. Dispicable and innapropriate way to treat customers. Will never use them again and would never recommend to anyone.

I applied for a loan. Was not contacted about my application or if I had been approved. When I was contacted it was always at the end of their office hours, so if I had an issue I couldn’t contact them. I emailed them whilst at work to discuss my application and still didn’t get a reply. Finally managed to call them, only to be told my loan would not be accepted as I hadn’t provided ‘accurate documents’ despite providing what they asked for.

Very expensive to pay back small amount of money, very quick pay out but just a total put off. I only got a loan because i was needing financial help. Unless you have the money i wouldnt really encourage you unless you can afford a lump sum pay out.

Although the money got processed quickly and put into my bank within a couple of hours, the interest is extortionate and you should be offered the option during anytime of the loan to settle for an appropriate amount of interest. I asked about cancelling during the 2 weeks cooling off period but knew I wouldn't have the money plus whatever interest they were going to charge. I wasn't given a figure for settling the loan early as i could only have the settlement figure if I agreed to cancel the loan and once I had asked for the figure I had no choice but to settle the loan. Which is a bit difficult when you don't know what the settlement figure is to cancel it during the cooling off period. Also I think you should have an option to settle a month or two after if needed for a fraction of the interest charged as I believe it's exploiting people who are trying to build their credit.

the service i received on my initial application was diabolical. Satsuma had entered incorrect information following my house move and because of that they told me i had been declined and to check the credit reference agencies when the error was entirely their fault i failed because they had entered my address incorrectly they were clearly in breach of the DPA & the new GDPR. The interest rates are extortionate to say the least as a publicly owned company (owned by Provident Financial) they have a wider duty of care. Provident seem to get through a number of chief executives lets hope the recent appointment has some common sense and an understanding of some sort of civic duty and can repair the damage caused

Despite being previous satsuma customer and paid all instalments on time, I've been offered much worse deal than previously. Thats bad.

Supposedly had technical issues. Money was not released until 48 hours after applied for. No contact from company. I was only aware of problem after contacting them after dead line.

Got excepted for a loan but I put 1 digit on my bank account number wrong so had to cancel and reapply but when I did they would not accept me don’t understand why one minute I get accepted and then not get accepted don’t make sense

Told if paid my loan off early could apply for another, paid it off 7 weeks early to be told im ineligible to apply for anothet, stitched up big time

Having loaned to much money I tried to repay part of the balance after only a few day to be told this would not affect the interest due and instead I should comletly settle the loan You will get a interest reduction if you settle the loan but not if you make small payment s periodically.

Hi, I think charging interest from the outset is wrong. Interest should be charged on a daily basis and not at the beginning of the loan. Also interest is way too high. For borrowing £1000 loan I have to pay back £900 on interest- almost double the loan- that is so wrong and taking advantage of the vulnerable and people who desperately need the loan for whatever reason.

Long winded process even though I have been a recent customer before. I was asked for a payslip for proof of income and told a statement wasn't accepted as proof of income. I was then asked for a statement but then told this wasn't good enough and then asked for a third option. You could learn a lot from sunny or Myjar, good why to improve your service but seeing how they work.

No option to make payments online, having to call up is very inconvenient. Plus there is no App available for mobile account monitoring.

Quick and easy application, but I have tried to contact Satsuma to pay my loan back early and they just don't respond to e mail messages and there is not the facility to pay off early online which gives me the impression that they just want loads of interest off you and try to make it difficult for you to pay back early. This is not the case with Payday Express or Wageday advance, you can pay off when you like. So I am not happy with Satsuma and wont use again. I am also going to contact BBCs Watchdog to complain about this.
