“I live in the US. My sons and I are the shepherds of a flock of Babydoll sheep and a flock of Nigerian Dwarf goats. Several years ago, I decided I wanted to get an ultrasound machine to monitor which of our girls were pregnant and determine which were carrying multiples, so we could monitor their nutritional needs better. Ultrasound machines weren't very popular then, and I didn't even know if I could buy one, so shopped at Amazon. Big mistake! I bought a machine on Amazon. It came from China and there was no actual business standing behind the machine. There was virtually no customer service. I first received the wrong machine and had to return that and wait for another one. Then the battery was bad twice and I had to wait for new ones. The seller didn't want to comply, but I found out, their machine wasn't determined safe by the FDA. I got the 3rd battery. There was no customer service where I could ask basic questions and the little manual was difficult to understand.
Sometime later, I started seeing people discuss ultrasound machines on the goat pages. One name kept popping up. It was Catherine Stowell. She is located in the UK. Everyone gave wonderful reviews about Catherine. I hesitated because she is in the UK, and I am in the US, but I found there is NO reason to use her location as a reason not to purchase a machine from Catherine. I did buy an ultrasound machine from Catherine. It arrived here in the US, much faster than I can get a piece of mail delivered from 30 miles away. I bought the Scan Pad and love it. It's easy to use and sturdy. I can stand it up in the barn and not worry about a computer-type machine, having the cover snap if an animal goes rogue. The screen is easy to see and the barn doesn't need to be pitch black, as it did with the first scanner. The customer service is the best I have received for any product I have ever bought. Any time I have a question or issue, I hear right back from Catherine. I would not hesitate to purchase another ultrasound machine from Catherine Stowell.”
