I had previously used Screen Time relatively successfully (although the process of installing and pairing seems to be problematic at the best of times). However, this year I bought Premium and, for an entire month, the app didn't work properly. I was constantly in touch with customer services, which compounded the bad experience as at times they would take hours to respond on chat, at other times it would be days! I even sent an email directly through the site's contact form and although I could see that this prompted customer services to pick up the ball they had dropped, I still ended up waiting three days for a response (to the urgent-at-the-time issue of geolocation for my teenage daughter, which - in the end - I never got). When I told them I was canceling my subs, I got "Sorry for the inconvenience". I won't ever use them again.

Worked well on android devices, but it's pretty much useless on Apple. Doesn't show the app usage, doesnt limit the time allowed. The only item currently working is the schedule to limit when it can be used. was a huge fan of this program on android. On Apple...save your money.

Currently have this app and looking for a new one. My daughter basically re-starts her phone, and then uses the recall button to work her way to settings to turn it off because of the lag time before the app kicks in is very slow. It took 30 secs and I never received a message that it was turned off. It shouldn't be that easy. Costumer service was very nice, but basically told me that an app can only do so much if the child is that determined.

It is ironic that I am a student from TJHSST that had parents that used this app and wrote this review as poor. Notice how I used the word "had". This software has a vast amount of glitches, even on Android, including "freezing up", where the parental controls no longer seem to work until the user opens the app. This allowed me to go into Settings to block this app as a start-up app. Now, all I had to do is restart the phone and this app was no more. But don't fix it, as it is a good laugh of a product.

This app promises a lot, and if they could deliver without all the glitches, they would have get a five star rating from me. The glitches are too many to list, but include freezing up on the parent app, rendering it unusable for periods of time unless you turn your phone off and then back on, and seemingly randomly blocking or unblocking apps and allowing some apps to be used past the specified "bed time block". Also, one of my daughters has an iPhone and it is completely useless on her phone. On an apple device, the Screentime app with cause the whole phone to become unusable and glitchy. I can't believe they can even sell this app for iPhones... it is utter crookery. Do NOT get Screentime if you have or plan to get your child an iPhone. However, you can control another device FROM an iPhone only having to deal with the glitches listed at the beginning of this post. Very frustrating, but still useful for Android devices in a "better than nothing" sort of way.

We're subscribers for the paid plan since december of last year and while the first 3-4 months everything was kinda working fine. From then until now it has been a plethora of problems of which the most prominents: - Parent app never managing to show with the web history - Parent app not updating with what actually the kids are using (real time or history) - Setting for blocked apps changing / not kicking in without user action - Plans to restrict access being enabled without user action (and the opposite) All in all, most of the problems seems to be related to syncing between the kids devices and parent's. At first I thought the teenager was messing around using one of us parent's device and changing his setting but now the changes are clearly not meant to be in his favour so the app even caused discussions and loss of trust between parents and kids. We have all android devices (nokia and samsungs) and the tablets are 2 kindle fire. It's not like we're having issue for some unknown device having problems. Just before renewing a month ago I got all the profile of the kids unlinked. Resetting all the links by inserting again the device code, restored them, but it's just another huge red flag of how, technically, this service is not reliable. If you want to be sure about the time your kids use their phones, take them away and explain them why / show them that there is other stuff to be done in your day, apart from staring at a screen. Also, buy a basic phone (they still exists, yes) so that, even if they try, they cannot really install anything on it due to hardware limitations.

I have been using this app since Jan 2017, recommended by the school. It works well on my daughter’s Samsung S5 with no problem. Somehow it will only detected and started to run the daily hour limit if my kids touch the app on their ASUS. It doesn’t make sense for the kids to voluntarily ‘activate’ the app on their devices. And the most disappointing part, it is not working on my kid’s iPhone 5s. The apps disappeared for no obvious reason, blocked and locked at the wrong time. Since I already paid for one year subscription, I keep in touch with the support team and constantly try to figure it out, but so far the same problem happened again and again. I took the iPhone from my kid to and keep it with me so that I am certain that he didn’t swap up to close the app or did anything to compromise. It didn’t work. And because of all these technical issues, it causes disappointments among my kids since one is working and the rest ‘got the freedom’. Luckily they understand why I am controlling their devices and cooperate with me. But I decided to leave Screen Time Labs and now move to Kidslox.

Initially the app looked enticing. It had everything we needed to control our kids devices. Each of my 3 kids uses an iPod touch 5th gen and we also use it with an android phone and 2 iPhone 5s (not 5S's). However during the trial period the app kept getting blocked or locked on the iPod touches. The app would loose connection with their server even after I had initially fixed the connection on some devices. The wifi is strong in my home. I am located in Israel so I'm. It sure if their vpn has problems connecting from Israel. This seems to be the issue. While OurPact is a bit more expensive and doesn't include as many features in my tests with that app it worked seamlessly. I'm hesitant to pay for screen time if they ant rectify my connectivity issues with their app to their servers
