I went to Select Fashion store today at Leigh near the Leigh bus station. The sales advisor (teenager) wearing a white hoodie who took my payment was very rude to me. She told me that the cardigan is too small, ugly and would not fit me. I bought a medium cardigan instead of a small already as my mum told me that most of their items shrinks. Im UK size 6-8 (small) and that sales advisor told me i would not fit in a size medium cardigan.

Great staff member called Zoe in Hatfield galleria store such brilliant customer service always has a smile and very willing to help. Really impressed by her such a huge credit to select fashion

Bought some patent black boots on 27/04/2024 at Barnsley store, they were reduced from £29.99 to £10.00. I wore them for 4-5 weeks, when whilst out, the sole heel felt spongy, my heel was not supported & was uncomfortable to walk in. They had cracked down the sides & come away from sole I knew of selects policy of no refunds, a government website on UK retail shoe law says is the customers legal right to have a refund on items that are not of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, which is why i was hesitant to go back to the store, but i ended up at end of May going into the Barnsley store with my boots & receipt, the person in charge that day was of course not a manager, she told me that i was heavy footed & that's why they broke, the manager will look at them when she comes in tomorrow if you leave them here with receipt. we'll send them to head office for them to decide but they will probably refuse to do anything! Footwear should last on average 8-12 months not 4 weeks they are not fit for purpose. I refused to leave anything with them & complained via email, which reply was from Tracy G "The manager knows about the problem, she will sort when you return to store". Yeah by sending them to head office & i haven't got any evidence cos they've taken it.

Unsafe changing rooms. Edgware Broadwalk store ,while changing i had the curtains pulled back twice 1st store assistant asking for me to pass out store tags which were on the stool infront of me leaving me exposed to other customers in my bra and pants 2nd by a customer who thought the cubicle was empty even though I had the curtain pulled and other cubicles were empty weird right. Avoid disgraceful store unsafe for anyone wishing to try on garments.

Black diamonte sandles SP57/3205/016 £15.99 were black in the shop but diamontes turned PINK in the daylight. Shop would not give me a refund even though their product is clearly defective in discription. They only have a credit note policy. Not giving me a refund is against the law but they don't care because its a administrative hassle and time consuming to report it to trading standards. Their head office telephone number 01923 382 050 is continuously engaged and there's no replies to emails either so your unable to make a complaint. My advice to all my friend's and anyone random I speak to, is not to buy from Select Fashion shops as you'll be treated with contempt if you want a return anything or get a refund

Horrible experience I bought a lot of items didn’t know I couldn’t get my money back and eventually was offered a credit note. No consistency in the sizes wish I had tried on before purchasing. Never have a problem normally. Will spend credit more but will never shop there again

By very bad service by Mohammad at treaty centre Hounslow store Started fighting with me over the counter Threw the bag at me after paying and said I was not good enough for his store Such staff should be dismissed from work right away But the manager at the store seem to be very lazy He started giving me bad words Shouting and yelling at me being myself the customer for just asking him what’s this behaviour

Sunderland, the bridges store. Disgusting policy of no refunds even when item is returned less than 24 hours after purchase, with proof of purchase and tags intact, snotty store manager, unhelpful, horrible customer service. I never shop in there thought I'd give it a go and never again. Doesn't even deserve the one star.

Misleading item description. Ordered some black cargo jeans, as they were described on website, and when I got the order they looked like the item in the photo but the fabric was nowhere near a jeans, but a thin elastic one, like spandex. As they don't do refunds in store I went to exchange them with something else so I wouldn't have to spend extra for return postage, just to be told that they can't take them because of the label that they had on the bag. So another waste of time. This was the last time I'm buying anything from selectfashion.

The Oxford store at Templars Square still has it's fitting rooms CLOSED so that you can't try items on before buying. And they say it's due to covid!?! AT THE SAME SHOPPING CENTRE ALL OTHER SHOPS HAVE THEIR FITTING ROOMS OPEN, AND EVEN TOILETS ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! All it is it's to make people take the items home, take the money and keep it. Is it even legal? Their return policy is 14 days But! only for an exchange or a credit note, NOT money back. I bought a few items and tried them at home, they did not fit and they didn't have sizes above 12 in the store. So I could not do an exchange! And I don't want any other items. So I was left with the credit to use on items I don't want. NOBODY MENTIONED TO ME I WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO GET A REFUND! IS THAT EVEN LEGAL? I was told in the store, upon returning unwanted clothes (and after the money was taken from my account) that the policy is described on the receipt! As a consumer I have a right to know that I won't be able to get my monies back BEFORE I PAY! Not after I've paid. Bad experience. I will not be buying from them ever again nor recommending to anyone. Bad practices, disrespectful towards customers.

Bought a pair of chain cargo trousers with elastic waist, in the Broadway store. At the check out, I made enquiries because I thought they should have been in the sale. There was no price tag. Just a receipt stating, and I qoute; Chain Cargo Trousers size 18 5059071852884 Grey There where issues with the belt as well, as it's only two feet long. Anyway, I went home and checked the website. They where in the sale and all the sizes where already sold out, except for one size. No surprises there, I thought. I wrote to customer service to explain my predicament,that had happened in Bradford, Broadway. A few hours later, I received a reply. How did we do? I replied back, Bad. Reason. Unresolved. Today, I received a very badly composed email. It was from Gaby C. She was on the defense, and showed an item from the website of a different pair of cargo trousers. I replied back on the, How did we do, part. I'm awaiting a reply. But, I just can't believe how incompetent the staff is. The customer service, and who knows who else? I have business sense, and customer service skills. I have worked in Oxford Street, and there is just no way you would get away with this type of attitude in London. This is fast fashion. It's on it's way out. Unfortunately, people in the north of England don't have the money to spend. I predict the Select shops will be out of business, in a few years time.

Bought a underwear set (bralette and knickers) when it arrived the quality was laughable, and it ended straight up in the bin,as I am unable to return it. The previous week i had ordered the same product from asda for less money and received a quality product.

I was struggling to find a outfit for an evening out and fell upon the most amazing store in Lewisham Centre, I was browsing casually but just couldn't make my mind up , such a large selection (sorry about the pun )and a very pleasant lady approached me and was ever so accommodating and gave me such a boost and a amazing outfit for my special occasion which I had so many compliments about , Maureen was her name and she is just so funny and such a very helpful lady , then went to pay and a lovely lady by the name of Fran helped me with my accessories which so much complimented my outfit absolutely , can't wait to return good on you ladies hope your company appreciate your good qork

Absolutely awful product and customer service. Bought a pair of pull on stretch ponte trousers wore once (to a funeral) stitching came apart down the front of both legs returned to shop with recieipt was told had to be returned to head office manager took my email address and co tact number told me I sould hear within 7 days nothing heard 2 weeks later returned to store to be told no refund because I bent down with the trousers on I have slim legs so couldnt see why this was a problem I asked the lady in the store why hadnt I been contacted for her to reply its nothing to do with me I dont keep your contact details (rather rudely) as I am a stranger to her I asked for head office details and I cant contact customer services when I asked could I have the trousers back was told she didnt have them they were in the post? Had no option but to accept credit note for faulty product as select had my money the faulty product and my receipt disgusting customer service. Such a shame used to be a lovely retailer what went wrong select? guess you let your customers down so resulting in less sales shame on you would love to send a photo but couldnt have the product back

Ordered jumper received cardigan returned at my own expense been 11 days no reply to emails no refund and 37 attempts to get through on telephone and thats just today constantly busy tone AVIOD

Avoid them! Ordered on the 27th September. Told by Hermes the items were delayed. This has not changed. Cannot ring Select as phone is always engaged. They either do not reply to emails or their inbox is full. Stolen my money.
