I have purchased many smeg products . A mini fridge that works well. Two toasters that work very well, one is a two slice , the second one is a four slice . I have purchased three kettles . The red one is fine works well. The black matte one chipped off , the Dolce & Gabbana kettle was extremely expensive . Here is the issue The Dolce & Gabbana is kettle that was wrapped , the wrap chips and peels off due to the heat. I sent the pictures in and have asked for another kettle or my money back since March of 2024. They keep writing me that when they get one in they will send one . I would think when they say they will replace it they would ask for one to be sent right away. The company also keep offering me another one in blue which I want the one I originally purchased . The Dolce & Gabbana went with our decor in the kitchen . Very disappointed with this company , I have never had an issue with any other companies . Actually I haven't had issues with other products . I love the design , and I have thought of having a full size smeg fridge in our basement however I will stick with higher end appliances . I have been very patient and understanding but 1 year and 4 months to wait for them to replace a kettle is ridiculous. They will not give me a refund either .

My smeg gas/ electric cream cooker is rusty within 8 years also have a matching fridge in which the freezer compartment door doesn't seal tightly despite having replaced it . I think smeg looks good as a piece of furniture but very poor quality .

2 slice Toaster worked for 2 weeks and then it would only toast on one side. There is a button that you select for bagels that will only toast on one side but now only one side toasts permanently. We decided to spend more money on this toaster to get a better quality, the store we bought it from said 5 people returned it recently for the same issue. Hello SMEG?? Are you listening?

The customer service is abominable. There is no customer service. I’ve been calling for a week to sit on hold for 15 minutes each time to then be instructed to leave a message which no one EVER answers. Several emails have been sent with ZERO answers from customer service. I own the coffee pot, tea kettle and espresso machine. The teapot is leaking everywhere. The handle, the bottom entire rim, around the entire lever, ALL corroded and leaking. Coffee pot is completely dysfunctional: leaks as well, corrosion is beginning along the top and side where water level reads. CAUSING THE ENAMEL TO CHIP, it’s Impossible to pour the entire carafe of water into the unit to make coffee, the buttons have to be continually pressed every 15 minutes or so in order to keep the base warm. Absolutely not worth the price, the only bonus is the aesthetic. The espresso machine is sub par- it continuously stalls and quickly looses pressure and steam, but it’s pretty. I have a Nespresso machine much better, just got tired of pods. Overall I wouldn’t complain so much if it weren’t for the customer service, I’m very upset with the utter unprofessionalism.

Beautiful equipment, but due to the poor QC in Italy, coupled with the lack of service available in NA, I would not recommend SMEG products to anyone. 2 stars is generous and based solely on aesthetics, which won't do you any good when you're a few out from Christmas and without a functioning oven!!

I have had replacement kettle but my toaster was just out of warranty when that stopped working so time has passed but I have complained again yesterday to no avail. It looks brand new as we can’t use it yet my daughters cheap toaster has been working for years
