Program used by my daughter doing a Masters Degree at a Sydney University. She is using an Asus laptop with Windows 8.1 64bit. She has found that after using the PDF program for a while to download PDF files during lectures from the university intranet she has not been able to save the files even though she has plenty of free HD space. She sometimes adds text to these files. (Other students can save the files and she gets her files from them when hers does not work). She is also using Microsoft Office 2007 programs eg Word.

The interface isn't so bad, my main issue is that the software is a bit difficult to modify text!

As good as its predecessor but not significantly better. In particular Adobe is much better at filling in forms.

I purchases PDF PRO 10 over 2 months ago and actually have done nothing with it since. My schedule just went through the roof and I had no time to do any thing with it. Hopefully over the next 10 days I can get to it and see how it works. I only clicked Normal as it wouldn't let me submit until I had picked a rating. Actually I have no idea if it is very poor or very good. Bruce

The software doesn't always work for me. I frequently get this pop up when trying to convert Word to PDF: "Invalid Pointer Operation". This is frustrating for me when I really need a document converted. I then have to waste time going to our larger copier to scan to PDF and the quality is terrible compared to using your software. I had an older version of PDF Converter Pro before this upgrade and that ALWAYS worked for me; never failed.

For me it does what it has to do. Don't expect the same as Adobe pdf editor, but hey, the price is very reasonable. It has some room for improvement, however I am happy with the solution

Overall, I like what the program can do for a lot less than Adobe. I was creating a newsletter that I could distribute and post on my website and wanted it all in one file. I didn't know that to create a PDF file from multiple formats such as Word and Excel, they must be converted to a PDF file first, or you get blank pages when you convert 40 pages to one file.

PDF PRO 10 is a good all round package for standard PDF production of small to medium projects. But it becomes slow when dealing with larger files or projects. It also has a poor quality viewer, although this is not the case when a Pdf is printed or viewed using the free Adobe viewer.

I like the program, but I was disappointed in inability to insert 'comments' on pdf files. The icons on toolbar for comment insertion simply do not work.

Purchase procedure was bit complex as is the usage of the product.

Works well but not easy to print as I expected. Several steps to make it print.

It's OK - quite a good interface, but the PDF creation from within Word is unpredictable - it messes with the paper size, margins and pagination, so the PDF output doesn't look the same as the Word doc. Consequently I have to keep another PDF Print Driver installed to perform that function. Also it's not very intuitive - for example if you want to combine, join, or merge PDFs you'd try searching the help file for those words, wouldn't you? Well don't bother - they're not there! You have to figure it out for yourself - you have to select Create File from the Create & Convert menu, then Add files. It works fine then. The other downside is that since installing PDF Pro 10 I have lost the PDF Preview feature within Windows Explorer. There's obviously a conflict with Adobe Reader, which means that to preview a file I have to actually open it. It's OK, but I mourn the passing of that feature. The feature which persuaded me to buy PDF Pro was the skilful way in which it deconstructs PDF files into Word format. It's (almost) perfect and beats all the other programmes I tried. But overall, I am disappointed - I have paid dearly for that relatively infrequently used conversion feature with the loss of two treasured and oft-used ones.
