“Their system broke down in July and I am still waiting for a lasting repair six months later despite endless calls to customer services. I am giving up since Spy seem incapable of mending their own system.”
“Sussex Alarms were a great company taken over by Spy. An expensive contract you can’t get out of for 3 years. But still pay for a call out what’s the point? Very expensive bill every visit. Dreadful customer service. I changed to a different alarm company (with great customer service and reasonable bills) forced to carry on paying Spy’s contract but at least I didn’t have to deal with this company. Go local avoid!”
“Rubbish company. Poor customer service.spoke with two people, one called Ashley must be working from home as she stopped the conversation 3 times due to a child in the back ground. The phone was then cut off ? I then called back and spoke with someone called Lara who was marginally better but was having technical difficulties, said she would call me back. no call back, so tried to call again with no answer. I will try for an estimate elsewhere.”
“We had an alarm contract with a local company for a number of years and paid for an annual service contract. Whenever we had issues an engineer would promptly attend and take care of the problem with the costs (except parts) covered under the annual contract. The local company was subsequently acquired by SPY. I called with an issue that our alarm showed a fault and kept going off. I was informed that SPY charge for a call out, even if you have an annual service contract. I really don't see the point in paying for an annual contrat when you are charged for any call outs.
However, my bigger issue is with the customer handling. The person that I spoke to quite clearly didn't care about retaining me as a customer, doubted my word that I had ever had free call outs and was generally off hand in manner.
Needless to say, I will not be renewing the contract and do not recommend this company.”
“My intruder alarm provider was acquired by Spy Alarms. My agreement with the original provider came with agreed terms and conditions. Despite agreeing, in writing, to adhere to the said T&C, when called upon Spy Alarms revoked completely, stating that the T&C were no longer appropriate. I had not agreed to this...yet I have written confirmation from Spy stating that they would honour the agreement in situ. In other words they are trying to change T&C without advising their client base.
Dreadful company, use them at your peril.”
