Boots arrived scruffed and worn with label detached. They had clearly been worn ! Loads of hassle getting a refund and 10 days after raising complaint I am still waiting for my money back. Very poor product and service

Unfortunately, this item was sent back to our secondary warehouse in Gloucester rather than to our returns department in Leicester, which is why there was a slight delay in processing it for you. You returned the shoes back for an exchange but because they had been worn we unable to accommodate the exchange request and resent them back out to you. Shocking! IF you don't purchase the £2 easy return label you are charged £4 to download it when making a return for a refund. With the posting charge the total comes to £10 £4 pounds to download a returns label is daylight robbery!!!!!

Your initial postage costs were because you selected the express 1-2 working days delivery. We do recommend you purchase a prepaid returns label with your order to make returns easy as we then cover the rest of the postal costs. The returns label you downloaded to send the shoes back via Royal Mail does have a £4 charge and we do clarify this on the returns page of the website. I wanted wellingtons for wet walks. Unfortunately these are not waterproof and once my socks get wet they start rubbing my feet making them sore. Only good now for gardening.

Cause of a *sale* reduction which was nowhere mentioned when bought, can't exchange them without a £5 subtraction. Please note the mentioned reduction is 90p. Now, to change from number 6 to 7, the total expense I have to be charged is £16. What's wrong with you and why do you cheat on your customers?

Unfortunately you purchased a sale item, which do clarify is not eligible for an exchange, whilst we are happy to offer a free exchange for a full priced item we do not currently exchange sale items and this is clearly specified on the website. We have since spoken to you about this, and explained you are more than welcome to return the item for a refund. We do not currently offer free returns due to the nature of the products we sell but we do offer a service whereby you may purchase a prepaid returns label with your order and this would cover the cost of any return. We also offer an option whereby you can download a returns label from our website after purchase, to send an item back and we deduct £4 from your refund to cover the cost of the return. We pride ourselves on honesty and integrity and all information is available on our website, our customer services team is always on hand to answer any questions you have prior to making a purchase. Had to return the boots they were far to tight not happy that they deducted £5 from my refund for postage will not use this company again, it my me mad when you buy something and it is not as described then cosy you money to send back when it's not your fault

Dear Christopher, Thank you for the review, I am sorry to hear that you are displeased and apologise for the delayed response, if I may I would just like to clarify our returns policy. We do not offer free returns at the moment but we do have a service whereby every customer has an option to purchase a prepaid returns label with their Steel Toe Boots order for £2 extra, this one label covers the return for up to 5 pairs of shoes/boots and we cover the additional cost. This is something we do continuously review and perhaps we may be able to offer free returns in the future, but at present, due to the nature of products we stock we are not able to and therefore have the prepaid returns label service. I hope I have clarified the point you raised, I can only sincerely apologise for the experience you have had with us and I do hope this does not discourage you from using us in future. They were advertised as steel toe caps, but when I recieved them they weren't. False advertising.

shocking customer service order a pair of boot and they let in water tried to come to and arrangement with them but they just stated basic dribble back to me would not recommend at all shop somewhere else if you want quality and just to clarify i took the boots to a shoe smith and they confirmed to me that the stitching was loose and of poor quality
