went bidding for i phone, put in required deposit, did not win, after deducting their fees i should have had about £15 back, guesss how much i got back ZERO! Totally swindling company, Good reviews are likely to be Swoggi people themselves. Take my advice don't get involved in bidding with swag. Only thing they will give you is Zilch and take all your money. It is a free money making company. Ombudsman probably not bothered as well i bet

I've played and watched swoggi for several years. I have also read lots of bad reviews about the site. The reviews are correct in may ways, you play it and you will lose money. I won several items including this iPad I'm writing this review on, but I lost out over the total time I "gambled". Yes, it is a gambling site and yes, the same old names win the vast majority of the really desirable items like computers, phones etc. When you sign up, you will be bombarded with emails, many stating that people have won at bargain prices. Most don't. I don't need to list these as many others have. Is it a scam? No. Any sensible person tempted by this site's publicity would watch and learn before committing money to it. Those who have not done their homework will call it a scam. Those who realise the risks will not buy credits. Some like me will have a pop and eventually get burned. Those who dive in without assessing the risks will call it a total scam. Pay your money and take a chance? Don't. You are far more than likely going to lose, especially if you go for the premium items and go up a against the big hitters that will pay over the odds to win. Swoggi relies on people like us to keep their venture going. The best way to hit back is not to play their game. If you do play, expect to lose lose lose. THe other old chestnut is whether the habitual winners are really robots functioning for Swoggi, or even paid employees. Who knows, but they seem to have far more money than sense. I have long suspected this but then again there also seem to be some serious Swoggi addicts. My advice is to steer well clear.

Having researched Swoggi over the internet, this practice looks more and more like a gambling site as well as a scam with the same people winning 8 times a month, their activity has been recorded over the past 9 weeks, you can see for yourself below their activity, it is suspiciously like insider trading which is illegal across the world, working out of virtual offices, in both the Uk and Singapore, no contact telephone numbers and no response to emails. Username GANDALF is very peculiar 4 items purchased this month August 2014 were all £1 bids on swoggi.co.uk and yet GANDALF somehow was accumulating bid spending of 50P per bid, when everyone else were being charged £1.00. see for yourself: Sadly Hyperlinks ar not allowed (360 £1 bids = £180) (638 £1 bids = £319 ) (440 £1 bids = £220) (784£1 bids = £392) This also applies to username: claudiodalsa: (2148 £1 bids = £1074 ) now why would someone place 2148 £1 bids in addition place 1920 free bids ? on an item that you could purchase for £1449? The final price of this item was £203.46 remove the decimal point and you have your answer, the capital asset when sold was £20549.46. Who would pay £2351.46 for an item costing new £1449,? If you check out the Swoggi UK Facebook page you will see that wap24 won two items one in £ sterling and one in Euros. In my opinion it is very hard to win one item using a penny auction within one country, but when you are competing with 13 it is nigh impossible and yet many users rack up 8 wins per month and they are,: Username: tilthendoftime Username: wingsgirl300 Username: mammola Username: claudiodalsa Username: onemoretime Username : gandalf Username: karinebo39 Username : mistertarzan Username: titus123 New multiple winning usernames appear every month. these people can only be using insider knowledge. Interesting that user name gandalf appears on Swoggi. He also wins a lot on Madbid.

This is a complete scam. I signed up to in the hope of getting a cheap phone. I spent £58 bidding on an item to come away with nothing. Eveytime the auction comes near to finishing if someone bids again they add more time and this just goes on and on and on. There is no way of winning a bid without spending a fortune.

This site is a complete con. It has all the characteristics of a con and I fell for it hook, line and sinker because I thought I could get something for nothing. I paid £58 pounds for their credits so I could bid in the auction. The trouble is you can never win. You send 50p every time you bid and the bid price increases by 1p. So a Macbook might go for a £100 or more pounds and every time you bid you are adding 1p. Don't waste hours of time or money hoping you might win a fantastic prize. I am now convinced it is all fixed. Con, Con, Con all the way.

Money saving expert fake ad. I placed a couple of bids before realising it's a total con. Even if you did win an item( which is highly unlikely) Itwould have cost you a fortune in credits. I cancelled my subscription within an hour and it cost me £15. Stay well away

I have only given them 1 star as you can not go lower. Total rip off, after buying credits and watching bidding for a couple of hours I knew that I had been scammed. I have now got my money back(minus £15 fees) and feel such an idiot that I fell for this scam.

Scam site designed to take your money by charging you for every bid you make on an item; an item you can never win as the auction is rigged. The end of the auction will count down and then extend on for several hours - all the time you have to keep paying to bid. Not sure how these people are allowed to legally trade. AVOID.

THIS SITE IS A SCAM - 100% I very nearly got enticed in, particularly after reading what appeared to be a very convincing review after clicking a link which took me to a me to a MONEY EXPERT web page. Some readers who have commented here thought they hit Martin Lewis' Money Saving Expert website and therefore trusted it. PLEASE NOTE ALL - THIS LINK DOES NOT TAKE YOU TO THE MONEY SAVING EXPERT WEBSITE - It takes you to a site called Moneyexpert360 dot com . Moneyexpert360 dot com IS 100% designed TO PROMOTE SWOGGI - all the pages are the same and simply provide you a "journalist's" experience of using Swoggi which is very convincing comes out very favourably but can only be FAKE. You can open an account without depositing any money and see for yourself. Look at the bid history and see how many "quality" items have been won over the past few days and how much they went for - often more than they were worth!! OR keep an eye on a current item like an iPad or something and follow it for a few hours - You'll soon see it is IMPOSSIBLE TO WIN. BE WARNED - AND DON'T THINK YOU WILL BE ONE OF THE LUCKY ONES - YOU WON'T AND IT WILL COST YOU!!

This site is a joke!!!! It's so frustrating!!! When do you ever have to bid for something over and over again when the time is nearly gone??? On swoggi apparently. Time gets to 1 second and when anoth bid is place it goes back up. There are not many things to bid on considering how many people are on this site and bidding. It's a rip off. I have just waisted a lot of money on bidding tokens and wish I had never come across this site

I should have listened to the saying if it sounds to good to be true it is.i found Swoggi in February 2016 and started bidding for an Ipad the bidding appeared to be going up 1 penny each bid but was in fact 50 pence and just when you thought you were near the time out for the auction the time was increased by 15 minutes. This went on from 2pm on February 8th until the next morning Feb 9th when I realised this was a complete scam and stopped bidding.By now I had run up a bill of £133 more than my weeks pension. This is called an auction but surely the only person who pays in an auction would be the highest bidder the unsuccessful bidders wouldn't pay as well.I asked my Grand daughter a lawyer what she thought she read it and found a complete scam if only I consulted her first, how much longer are this company being allowed to go on

NO NO NO NO NO NO for swoggi. If you want refund, as you realised it is not an auction site. They cancel your account but you never see you money back. They say reply in 48 hours, I am waiting since January. I contacted Asic. Please submit your query on ASCIC for misconduct. More people does it, more chance that other people does not get scammed. I wait another 48 hours, then contact bank and ASIC. https://www.edge.asic.gov.au/008/complaintV007?get/complaintDetails/t=e76a922fce9db1227062680d2e1842df1796b2a Please do not give up! Fight. 1 star is really does not reflect this experience.
