Extremely Poor Experience – Dishonest Practices, Incompetent Installation & No Accountability I am leaving this review to strongly warn potential customers about my extremely poor and stressful experience with Taqwa Carpets. I hired Taqwa Carpets to supply and install a premium Invictus glue-down LVT floor, paying a premium price with the expectation of professional workmanship and compliance with manufacturer standards (which are required for the lifetime warranty). Unfortunately, what I experienced was the complete opposite. Firstly, it became clear that Taqwa Carpets do not have their own qualified installation team. Instead, the work was subcontracted, and in my case the installation was carried out by a 21-year-old with clearly very limited experience. This was evident throughout the job due to poor technique, lack of knowledge, and unprofessional conduct. There was no proper supervision, no quality control, and no work ethic expected from a professional flooring company. The installer tried used pressure tactics to rush the job, despite conditions being completely unsuitable. He was prepared to install LVT flooring in temperatures as low as –7°C, fully aware that the property had no radiators or heating installed at the time. Any competent flooring professional knows this directly breaches manufacturer installation requirements and risks total failure of the floor. No proper moisture testing was conducted prior to installation after requesting multiple times. This is a fundamental requirement for glue-down LVT, showing a complete disregard for best practice and long-term performance. Subfloor preparation was poor and uneven, and to make matters worse, I discovered dishonest billing practices. Mohammed charged me for 23 bags of self-levelling compound, yet only 18 bags were actually used. This is unacceptable and deeply concerning. Worksite conduct was equally unprofessional. All rubbish and waste were dumped and left for us to dispose of, and once the job was “finished,” the floors were left dirty and covered in residue, requiring us to clean up after their installers, something you would never expect after paying a premium price. During the self levelling process, I raised concerns to installer and Mohammed about floor being not flat with clear visible defects, but these were ignored. Once installation completed they were major floor deviation, both refused to acknowledge any issues. I had no choice but to commission an independent inspection report, which confirmed multiple installation failures and that the flooring was not installed in accordance with manufacturer guidelines or British industry standards, effectively voiding the lifetime warranty I paid for. The survey reports clearly concluded that Taqwa Carpet are responsible to rectify the below standards installation. Rather than taking responsibility and offering a full remedial solution, Taqwa Carpets attempted to offer a financial settlement, which is completely inappropriate when the product has been fundamentally installed incorrectly. Their approach felt like an attempt to withdraw from their liability rather than resolve the problem properly. As a direct result of their sub-standard workmanship, my entire project has been delayed significantly, forcing us into temporary accommodation costing £125 per day, resulting in considerable financial loss, stress, and disruption. From start to finish, this experience has been a nightmare—poor workmanship, lack of transparency, dishonest charging, no accountability, and no customer care once issues were raised. I would strongly advise anyone considering LVT flooring from Taqwa Carpets to avoid this company. If you value your money, your time, and your peace of mind, look elsewhere. I am now pursuing this matter through formal consumer protection channels. Pictures attached of uneven floors, 7.5mm floor deviation, dirty floor after completion, rubbish and cans of drinks left for us to clear

We ordered our bedroom carpet in good faith. Buying the carpet initially from the shop was a good experience but the 2 fitters were extremely rude, left a whole lot of mess, fitted the wrong door trims and were just horrible nasty people. Phoned the shop the next day to complain and tell them that the fitters have ruined my TV cable and I have no service only to be rudely told that I should read the small clause in the paperwork I had signed that they are not responsible for damages. I tried to explain to the person on the phone that this was not an accidental damage, the fitters have nailed the carpet gripper strips on top of the wire underneath the carpet, surely the fitters could see the wire, so that is definitely not accidental damage, but the person was very, very rude and put the phone down on me. I would never ever recommend this store to anyone, everyone should steer clear of this shop. Nasty horrible rude people, take your custom elsewhere.

Took shade from a rainy day Tuesday 28th September 2021. afternoon 5.30pm at the entrance of the Taqwa carpet shop. Within minutes was ushered away from the premises. Checked their website and they close at 6.30pm. I was no threat, a female just waiting for the raindrops to stop then I was going to be on my way. The type of male this individual is says lot about the shop. There was no urgency to kick me out and have been so disturbed by this experience. Maybe tomorrow I may need their services in carpet buying but will not step inside their shop or refer or revommrnd anyone in the future. Very rude individual and may he learn better manners and think about his action.
