Extremely Disappointing Service – Battery Still Hasn’t Arrived I placed an order for a car battery with Tanya Batteries on 7th October, choosing them because their website clearly advertised overnight delivery. It’s now over a week later, and the battery still hasn’t arrived. According to the tracking information, it’s been sitting with the courier for days with no progress. I’ve contacted Tanya Batteries about the delay, but the situation remains unresolved. While they claim the item has been dispatched, that doesn’t help when the product hasn’t actually reached me. This level of service is simply unacceptable, especially when I relied on the “next-day” delivery promise. I’ve used Tanya Batteries before without issue, which makes this experience all the more disappointing. At this point, I’d expect either a firm delivery date or a full refund. My car has been immobile throughout this ordeal, and I regret not buying locally instead.

Tayna are well known for their fast and reliable service when it comes to supplying batteries, but also have a reputation for not honouring warranties and other issues fairly. I've used Tayna dozens of times over the years, for car, van, truck, stairlifts, fire alarms, disabled scooters etc. It had never been an issue for me until recently when I had a 4 year warranty Exide battery fail after less than 3 years. I just got the run around for two weeks and then nothing. I had to buy a replacement from Halfords when my battery should still have been covered and replaced under warranty. Having bought dozens of batteries from Tayna over the years, I wouldn't use them again and wouldn't recommend them. It's ironic that the guy who' the worse of the lot at customer service actually prides himself on it on LinkedIn.

After recommending Tayna for in excess of 15 years, I've now suffered their lack of backup. A 4 year warranty Exide battery failed after less than 3 years. Tayna don't understand how to test a battery and don't honour their warranties. They just wear you down with stupid requests. Use your local dealer. Internet purchases may not be as cheap as they seem.

I have received the most appalling service from this company. As I understand it is under new ownership as of 1st June 2025 and the warranty conditions that are displayed on the website are no longer honoured. If you have any problems, be prepared to wait for at least 4 weeks before a resolution is received. Most of the staff are no longer as helpful as they used to be. Order ID: 3249801

Contacted company who said a battery which isn't detected by a battery charger is not deemed defective and doesn't fall under warranty. This battery was brought into the house over winter half-charged, didn't even last 11 months - Pathetic company who ignore the 12 month warranty, stay away!

Disappointed with Tayna Batteries' Warranty Process I purchased a car battery from Tayna Batteries, and unfortunately, my experience with their warranty claim process has been extremely frustrating. When the battery developed issues well within the warranty period, I expected a fair and straightforward resolution—but that was far from the case. The warranty process is overly complicated and lacks any real transparency. You're left guessing what's happening at every stage, and communication is minimal at best. What’s even more disappointing is that customer experiences and real-world usage seem to be completely disregarded during the claim evaluation. It feels like the entire process is based solely on a narrow set of technical criteria, with no comprehensive assessment of the situation. Despite providing details about how the battery was used and the issues encountered, none of that seemed to matter. It was as if the outcome had already been decided based on data points that don’t reflect actual use. Overall, it’s a disheartening experience that makes you feel like your concerns don’t matter. I expected more from a company with such a large presence in the battery market. Sadly, I won’t be purchasing from Tayna again or recommending them to others.

Completely dependent on my car due to disability, so paid for next day delivery and ended up arriving 3 days later. Had to chase them up for updates , promised refund that I never got. Very poor customer service they don’t care about the customers at all.

The battery did not arrive and I was not made aware that they were out of stock, when I called them I was asked if I would accept an inferior battery as a replacement instead of the one I purchased

I bought a rather expensive Bosch battery just over 3 years ago as it had a good warranty. Tayna delivered it the next day. The battery started playing up two months ago with slow cranking and not starting the car. I had to jump start it a lot. I had the electrics checked out and bought a second hand battery from a scrap yard. This second hand battery didn't fail me and still hasn't. I performed all of the home tests with the Bosch battery as Tayna suggested (including removing it from the car and trickle charging it). It worked for a day and then failed again. Tayna wanted me to return it. This cost £20, no fault was found and it was returned to me. A week later I installed the Bosch battery. It started my 2009 diesel s-max straight away. I took it for a 40 minute drive, parked for 10 minutes and came home. It started OK again. The next day I did a 10 minute journey. I was parked for 5 minutes (getting diesel) and the car started, but struggled to turn over. I drove home in 10 minutes and left the car until the next morning. The next day it would not start at all. I used a jump pack and it started. I did an hour journey and parked for the day. When I went to start the car, I needed to use my jump pack again. I took the battery out and put in the second hand battery back in. I had no more problems starting ever since. I invested in another charger and trickle charged the Bosch battery. It did the same as before, worked for a couple of times and died... Back went in the second hand battery with no problems. I am now at a loss. I have already spent £20 for you to say that the battery is fine. I'll use a local motor factors in future.

These people are selling returns/refurbished batteries as new. Had two faulty batteries from them. One of them was clearly used and badly damaged, damage to the casing and terminals. Careless, slow and obstructive refund process not even allowing you to exchange brand of battery. Will not be using these people again. Avoid.

BEWARE: Cheap product but TERRIBLE Customer Treatment I bought battery YBX3057 YUASA from Tayna which turned out to be bad in just few months of fitting it and the experience of Tayna's so called CS is the worst I have ever seen! First, when this battery kept dying out, I thought it was my car as this battery was new. It costed me a fortune to have my car checked at the dealer just to find out that nothing was wrong with my car's hybrid system, but it was this battery which was bad. I called Tayna CS and when I told them about the issue, I was told that my car needs an AGM battery and this one is the wrong battery that I bought therefore won't be covered under the warranty. I told him that it was recommended by Tayna anyway and the battery is bad as well. The CS rep won't believe me and asked me for evidence. I said I chatted on their online chat service of MSN messenger when I bought the battery and it was recommended. He said they do not have any MSN messenger service! (It is still right there on their website!!!). I gave him the name of the person who recommended it and he still won't accept it. He asked me to send evidence of the chat with that person before they could consider this! I clearly felt that they had no intension of refunding/replacing this battery from the way I was treated on the phone. "Irrespective of who recommended the battery to me, they were supposed to follow the warranty procedure as the battery kept dying out". What if it was recommended to me over the phone and I had no evidence? Their attitude is extremely unprofessional and off-putting. I sent them a stern email with the evidence of the chat. They not only refunded the cost of the battery (without refunding the postage expenses) but also blocked my account from placing any future orders!!! (Truth hurts) LOL! How professional!!! Hahaha, they think they are the only suppliers on this planet! It clearly shows that they do not want to hear from customers if they have any issues with the products and their so called customer services is totally hypocritic! And by the way, to clarify, I discovered that my car does not need an AGM battery, it never had one, it always has had a standard battery and the last one lasted about 4 years (the picture of which was also sent to them on the chat). This is in total contradiction to what that CS service guy was so adamant about and was voiding the warranty on this basis. And when I asked them why my account has been blocked, I have been told that I have been rude to them! Wow! I would like to know what part! I told them that now I will leave a negative review about them and they blocked the review section too on their website!!! Look at these cowboys! they are so worried about their truth being exposed! This also means that there is no transparency with regards to reviews on their site, giving a fake picture to customers. Good luck to anyone buying from this company! They may be the cheapest on the market and so is their treatment of customers!

Awfull company. I dealt with director. Please note reviews are for delivery! You will only know about Tayna Batteries poor goods and service when a faulty battery affects your car. This for a year or more while your trying to sort out my car electronics issue. Tayna admitted their battery that was faulty I had all sorts of problems including breakdowns. They eventually replaced it after test proved it was faulty. But, they REFUSED to restart my warranty. Others on Amazon, Ebay and Direct offer to restart warranty and are often cheaper. Dodgy batteries affect all sorts of electronics on todays computer driven cars. Always stick you bill to the battery as soon as it arrives. Poor show Tayna Directors! Never again Danny

WARNING - TANYA BATTERIES ONLINE PURCHASERS Do not purchase online unless you live within walking distance of their shop. I purchased a new battery at a cost just short of £100 in June 2020. Just over a year later it has gone completely flat after the car was unused for 3 weeks. It refuses a charge now and when I contacted 'Tanya Batteries' they weren't interested in my plight, even though I was stranded and unable to drive to work. Their response was to get me running around taking voltage measurements only to say that it was flat and I needed to return it to them for testing................. has anyone ever tried to pack and despatch a car battery! They're quite helpful in that they give you packaging requirements, great if you work in a warehouse. I couldn't even hazard a guess how much P & P would have been to send this recorded delivery from Hampshire. I even offered to fund an independent test at a local garage and send it to them, NOT INTERESTED. If you do manage to post it, and can do without your car for a week or so, just imagine the testing regime at their end that would undoubtedly determine that the battery was healthy hmmmmm

Warranty ???? - Under Warranty but given run around to get replaced. Had to buy a replacement as wasting my time and needed car on the road. Supplied report from RAC stating battery had dead cell. Patiently Followed Tanya instructions to trickle charge to clear potential sulphation issue. (Had to purchase charger to do this). This did not fix fault and now told i need to send off to Tanya to diagnose fault. Lost patience and hence review.
